Job description

This position owns the Baldwin Group's Corporate Systems product — the shared-services capabilities spanning Marketing, Compliance & Legal, HR, and Finance under the Growth Services product family. Unlike client-facing product lines, this product's primary users are internal executive stakeholders: the CMO, General Counsel/Compliance, CHRO, and CFO. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, internal stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration with corporate function leaders and platform teams to align a single coherent roadmap across four distinct constituencies with different priorities, regulatory constraints, and cadences.

Additionally, a Senior Product Manager in this role must stay ahead of AI-enabled operating model trends across marketing, talent, finance, and legal functions, continuously identifying where automation and AI assistance can free corporate teams from manual, transactional work. Positioned at the intersection of four executive functions and Baldwin's shared technology platforms (Business Apps, Baldwin Intelligence Platform, Data, Business Process Management), they facilitate a unified roadmap.

Vision & Strategy

  • Execute the product vision and strategy for Corporate Systems in alignment with The Baldwin Group's mission, Long Term Plan, and the Growth Services transformation priorities: AI-enabled recruiting, financial modeling and reporting acceleration, investor relations, marketing content generation, and legal ops automation.
  • Implement data-driven decision making using enterprise metrics to inform product decisions across all four sub-streams.
  • Understand the distinct needs, regulatory constraints, and success measures of each internal function owner (CMO, General Counsel, CHRO, CFO), and translate four separate agendas into one prioritized, coherent roadmap rather than four disconnected initiatives.
  • Directly interface with corporate function leaders and their teams (Marketing, Compliance & Legal, HR, Finance) to gather requirements and feedback that inform the roadmap. Coach any Product Owners or analysts assigned to individual sub-streams.
  • Collaborate with platform teams to balance feature development with adoption goals across four functions that share common infrastructure but have distinct workflows.
  • Own competing roadmap priorities across four sub-streams within a compressed team, with strong prioritization discipline — recognizing that not every function's request carries equal transformation value.

Discovery & Experimentation

  • Lead validation of AI-enabled workflows through structured pilots with function owners.
  • Partner with platform teams to evaluate AI-assisted capabilities prior to production deployment, ensuring correct Tier classification and Agent Registry compliance per the AI Governance Operating Model — recruiting screening tools and contract-review assistants in particular warrant careful human-in-the-loop design given their people- and legal-risk implications.
  • Gather qualitative insight through structured interviews with marketing, HR, finance, and legal stakeholders, alongside quantitative data such as content throughput, time-to-hire, close-cycle duration, and compliance review turnaround.
  • Conduct pilot programs —— before full rollout to a function.
  • Use insights from pilots to inform sequencing decisions when function priorities compete for the same limited build capacity.

Roadmap & Prioritization

  • Develop and maintain a unified product roadmap across Marketing, Compliance & Legal, HR, and Finance, sequencing capabilities through FOUNDATION → NOW → NEXT phases (e.g., event/community engagement as a foundational capability; content marketing, talent acquisition, performance management, financial planning, and regulatory/licensing compliance as NOW priorities; brand strategy and digital channel consolidation as NEXT).
  • Ensure the roadmap stays adaptable, prioritizing investments that most directly support the strategic objectives.
  • Align internal roadmaps with SaaS roadmaps to ensure solutions are optimized and full benefit of SaaS solutions are realized
  • Foster innovation and adaptation across four historically siloed functions, driving continuous improvement while respecting that legal and compliance review cycles remain human-paced regardless of tooling.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the connective tissue between four executive stakeholders (CMO, General Counsel, CHRO, CFO) and the shared platform teams that support their capabilities.
  • Work closely with platform owners to ensure technical feasibility, since Corporate Systems capabilities are built on shared infrastructure also serving other products — changes must be coordinated, not made in isolation.
  • Foster an environment of open communication across functions that don't typically collaborate day-to-day, aligning disparate team efforts with the shared transformation narrative.

Communication

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all four function leaders, providing regular updates on progress, trade-offs, and changes to product strategy — clearly explaining why one function's priority may be sequenced ahead of another's.
  • Manage expectations across executive stakeholders who each view Corporate Systems as "their" product; keep everyone informed on shared platform status and roadmap sequencing.
  • Clearly define product or feature needs in Jira cards to ensure optimal build results across all four sub-streams.

Metrics & Outcomes

  • Own and drive program KPIs across the four functions: content output and campaign performance (Marketing), time-to-hire and retention (HR), close-cycle time and reporting accuracy (Finance), and regulatory/licensing compliance rates (Legal).
  • Use stakeholder feedback and analytics to iterate and improve the product, ensuring it serves each function's goals without becoming four disconnected mini-products.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of proven experience in digital product management, with meaningful experience in enterprise/internal-facing systems — HR tech, martech, legal tech, or FP&A/finance systems — rather than external client-facing products, ideally within financial services, insurance, or a comparable regulated industry.
  • Insatiably curious, always asking why, and comfortable operating across four functions with genuinely different vocabularies, risk tolerances, and success metrics.
  • Strong bias for action and a proven ability to drive progress despite competing executive priorities.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product development processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate a product vision to multiple executive stakeholders (C-suite and General Counsel level) who each have legitimate but competing claims on roadmap capacity.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, platform/infrastructure teams, and non-technical corporate function leaders (HR, Legal, Finance, Marketing).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to say "not yet" to one executive stakeholder while keeping them engaged.
  • Ability to analyze data across disparate function-specific metrics (recruiting funnel data, campaign performance, financial variance, compliance turnaround) to inform unified product decisions.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-leverage teams where AI tooling (vibe-coding, Claude Code) materially expands individual throughput.
  • Demonstrated AI fluency — specifically, experience designing or evaluating AI-assisted internal tooling with people, legal, or financial risk implications (recruiting screening, contract review and legal research, financial variance analysis, compliance monitoring). Ability to define appropriate human-in-the-loop guardrails and communicate AI behavior and limitations to non-technical, risk-sensitive executive stakeholders (General Counsel and CHRO in particular).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with shared-services or platform product management, owning a single product that serves multiple internal business units with distinct requirements.
  • Familiarity with HR/talent systems (e.g., Workday), marketing/martech platforms (e.g., HubSpot), legal/contract review tooling, or FP&A and financial reporting platforms.
  • Experience with project management tools like Jira.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills, with proficiency in analytics tools relevant to HR, marketing, finance, or legal operations.
