Key Account Sales Executive – Rome 

Location: Rome, remote

 

🏒 Team description

SumUp's Italian sales team is on a mission to bring smarter, more affordable payment tools to small businesses across one of Europe's most important markets, and this role is central to that growth. As Key Account Sales Executive, the focus is on proactively identifying and winning new business, building a pipeline from scratch, and turning first conversations into long-term merchant relationships. It's a role for someone who wants genuine ownership of their outbound pipeline and the chance to directly shape SumUp's growth in Italy.

 

🚦 What you'll do

  • Proactively identify and reach out to prospective merchants through calls, emails, and other outbound channels
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline, prioritising the right accounts based on data and market insight
  • Run product pitches and demos that translate merchant needs into a clear case for SumUp
  • Own the full sales cycle end to end, from first outreach through negotiation to signed deal
  • Track performance against targets and use data to keep refining outbound approach and messaging
  • Share market feedback and collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to sharpen SumUp's proposition for Italian merchants
