Please note

  • We are building our Curio talent pool in Southeast Asia for contract opportunities that are coming up in the future. Therefore, we are seeking multimedia designers.
Kindly note that this role is not guaranteed full time work.

  • We will be able to offer contract opportunities for multiple clients over a particular period of time (short-term and long-term). Based on suitability, we intend to take you through our recruitment process and onboard you into our 'talent pool', so that when the right opportunity arises in the next few weeks / months, we are able to engage and onboard you quite quickly.

Objectives of this role

The Multimedia Designer brings learning and brand content to life through motion, video, and interactive media. You produce motion graphics, video content, and rich digital assets for client learning projects, Curio's marketing channels, and internal use - working across the full production cycle from brief to final export.

You are technically strong across the Adobe suite and confident with AI-powered production tools. You understand how visual and audio elements combine to create compelling learning experiences, and you work closely with Learning Designers and the broader creative team to deliver polished, on-brief output.

Key responsibilities and duties

Motion graphics and motion design
  • Produce motion graphics and motion design assets for learning content, marketing campaigns, and client deliverables.

  • Create kinetic typography, animated explainers, and branded motion sequences for digital channels.

  • Design and produce title sequences, transitions, and visual effects to support video productions.

Video production and editing
  • Produce and edit video content for client learning projects, marketing campaigns, and internal use.

  • Manage the full video production workflow: footage organisation, editing, colour grading, audio mixing, and export for multiple formats and platforms.

  • Create screen-capture and talking-head videos, including recording setup, editing, and post-production.

  • Produce AI-generated video content using tools such as Synthesia, including scripting visual layouts and managing avatar-based production.

eLearning visual and interactive assets
  • Design and produce visual and interactive assets for eLearning courses built in Articulate Rise and Storyline.

  • Create rich media elements — including embedded video, interactive overlays, and branching scenario visuals — that integrate cleanly into course builds.

  • Work closely with Learning Designers to ensure motion and multimedia assets support learning outcomes and meet accessibility standards.

AI-powered production
  • Produce AI voice and audio content using tools such as ElevenLabs, including voice selection, scripting, and audio post-production.

  • Integrate AI production tools confidently and efficiently into standard multimedia workflows.

  • Stay current with emerging AI capabilities in video, audio, and motion design — and bring relevant tools to the team's attention.

Administration and collaboration
  • Maintain accurate and organised project files, footage libraries, and export archives on the company shared drive.

  • Incorporate stakeholder feedback into revisions accurately and efficiently.

  • Collaborate with the Graphic Designer, Learning Designers, and clients to ensure multimedia output is visually consistent and on-brand.

Skills and Qualifications

Required
  • Diploma or degree in multimedia design, digital media, film and television, or a related discipline, with 1–3 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for video editing and motion graphics production.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce motion graphics and motion design assets to a professional standard.

  • Solid video production skills: shooting, editing, colour grading, audio mixing, and multi-format export.

  • Experience producing eLearning multimedia assets, with familiarity with Articulate Rise or Storyline.

  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling — how motion, pacing, sound, and graphic elements work together.

  • Able to manage multiple concurrent productions and deliver reliably to deadlines.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.

Desired
  • Confident working in Articulate Rise and Storyline — able to build and adapt interactive visual assets directly within these tools.

  • Proficient with Synthesia for AI video production and ElevenLabs for AI voice and audio.

  • Strong AI fluency — actively integrates AI tools into multimedia workflows and keeps pace with emerging capabilities.

  • Experience with Adobe Audition or equivalent for dedicated audio post-production.

  • Familiarity with accessible media standards, including captions, audio descriptions, and WCAG 2.1 AA requirements for multimedia content.

  • Experience working in a higher education, professional learning, or professional services context.

What success looks like

  • Motion graphics and video deliverables are polished, on-brand, and exported correctly for every intended platform and format.

  • eLearning multimedia assets integrate seamlessly into course builds — visually consistent and technically sound.

  • AI production tools are used confidently and efficiently, improving output quality and production speed.

  • Feedback is applied accurately and without rework, with any ambiguities clarified before production begins.

  • Learning Designers and clients see you as a reliable creative partner who elevates the quality of every project you touch.

  • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of others.

  • Comply with any reasonable instruction.

  • Cooperate with any reasonable policies and procedures.

  • Lead by example and promote health and safety at every opportunity.
