The Opportunity:   

We’re looking for a talented SysOps Engineer to join our team and help us architect and build and maintain security and compliance solutions for the AWS cloud in our Mountain View Office (hybrid) but are open to remote for the right candidate. You will be responsible for architecting cloud-based solutions and will need to be proficient in infrastructure and platform design and management as well as application deployment automation. You will be working with Docker and other container technologies. 

Responsibilities

• A hands-on role in architecture, design, development, and ongoing support of business applications and cloud infrastructure on AWS 
• Strong experience in Docker, containerization, and Kubernetes configuration 
• Good knowledge of infrastructure provisioning and configuration (Terraform, etc) 
• Experience with Helm Charts 
• Experience with Monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana 
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub/Gitlab, Jenkins/Travis.  

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience architecting and operating systems built with Amazon Web Services 
• At least 4 years of experience in cloud technologies 
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes  
• AWS Certified SysOps Professional is recommended.  
• Demonstrated competency with the following AWS services: ECS, EC2, EBS, S3, Glacier, RDS, VPC, Route53, ELB, IAM, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, SQS, SES, SNS, Lambda 
• Deep understanding of the Linux operating system and networking concepts 
• Expertise in leveraging Automation / sysops principles, experience with operational tools, and able to apply best practices for infrastructure and software deployment

The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 – $180,000.  This range represents the good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage AliveCor reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of hire. The final compensation offer will be determined based on several factors, including geographic market rates, the candidate’s years of relevant experience, and specialized industry-specific expertise. In accordance with California law, this range is specific to the role’s responsibilities and does not include potential bonuses, equity, or benefits, which may also form part of the total compensation package.
