Job description

Overview :

Our client is seeking an Application Developer to support the day-to-day administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of a distributed enterprise application platform hosted in a secure cloud environment.

Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE. 

Responsibilities :
  • Monitor application health, system performance, alerts, and logs to ensure operational availability and stability.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, security roles, and access requests in accordance with security and least-privilege practices.
  • Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues and coordinate resolutions with development, engineering, and other technical teams.
  • Support software deployments, patching, maintenance activities, and system upgrades.
  • Maintain and follow operational documentation, runbooks, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and escalation processes.
  • Perform application and system maintenance, including access provisioning, account administration, and backup verification.
  • Review logs and monitoring data to identify potential issues and support incident resolution.
  • Maintain accurate audit and compliance documentation.
  • Support applications operating in Linux and/or Windows environments.
  • Contribute to the ongoing modernization and migration of enterprise applications to secure cloud environments.
  • Participate in incident and change management activities in accordance with established processes.
Qualifications :
  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance required on Day 1.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • 2+ years of experience in systems administration, application administration, or application support.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting containerized and/or orchestrated environments such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or similar technologies.
  • Experience administering enterprise applications in Linux and/or Windows environments.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services, monitoring tools, dashboards, and alerting.
  • Experience monitoring application health, reviewing logs, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting incident resolution.
  • Experience administering user accounts, access provisioning, permissions, and security roles.
  • Knowledge of security-focused administration practices, including least-privilege access management.
  • Experience supporting system maintenance, patching, and backup verification.
  • Experience following runbooks, SOPs, and established escalation procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Security+ certification
  • Experience supporting AWS-hosted environments.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or similar container technologies.
  • Experience with Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, ELK, or similar monitoring and logging tools.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community, or other Federal programs.
  • Exposure to DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of ITIL-based incident and change management processes.
