Job Description :
  • Design, develop and evaluate eLearning training courses and embedded product instruction to create engaging, interactive, memorable, and easy to navigate online learning experiences.
  • Responsible for technical development of the online learning course or product content, including programming, testing, stakeholder review and publishing of each eLearning course as well as creation, review and implementation of embedded product instruction.
  • Content may be customer facing and/or internal/employee facing.
  • Ensure that training addresses all levels of learners in the use of company products/services.
  • Review and provide feedback on materials developed by the customer training team
  • Complete needs assessments, identify and coordinate with SMEs to create logical and accurate content, document course requirements/objectives and create course outlines as needed.
  • When appropriate, utilize supporting technical documentation for content.
  • Ensure courses are published properly and original files are organized and saved to shared directories.
  • Develop course knowledge checks and evaluations as needed.
  • Develop relationships across multiple business units and departments to coordinate with SMEs across the company when curating course content.
  • Assess and prioritize course backlog and needs for future course development/course updates.
  • Be able to work independently, apply good judgement and develop instruction to support learner needs and solutions.
  • Actively seek to improve training, training experiences and retention by investigating, recommending or reviewing tools, applications or solutions not currently in use.
  • Partner with other teams within Educational Services in aligning standards
Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of three years of experience with comparable knowledge and skills
  • Experience with administrative use and functionality of a Learning Management System (LMS), with LearnUpon experience a plus
  • Confident working with e-learning development software, specifically Articulate Storyline, Articulate 360 and Camtasia
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint, and OneNote
  • Ability to publish eLearning courses as SCORM packages
  • Ability to translate complex technical documentation into clear, accessible, and actionable content that supports non-technical user learning
  • Creative Skills: Experience in developing original, innovative and engaging training programs including support materials, demonstrations, knowledge checks, assessments/exams, and identifying feedback/improvement loops
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills for the purpose of communication, documentation development, curriculum development, scripting, and editing
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to successfully work in collaboration with subject-matter experts, stakeholders and/or technical personnel at varying organizational levels
  • Project Management Skills: Strong organizational and project management capabilities with ability to work within time and production deadlines, yet maintain adaptability/flexibility when projects and goals shift
  • Analytical Skills: Critical thinking, attention to detail, curious and unafraid to ask questions, problem-solving and analytical/research abilities including being able to evaluate multiple solutions and provide recommendations
  • Decision-Making Skills: Sound judgement and decision-making abilities, ability to evaluate multiple solutions and provide recommendations
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay current with eLearning advancements and industry changes

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Working knowledge of AI tools to drive efficient development of impactful materials
  • Foundational knowledge and understanding of learning theory, instructional design techniques, diverse learning styles, and adult learning principles
  • Experience with SCORM and Tin Can (xAPI) standards
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, SalesForce, Snagit, Synthesia and/or WalkMe a plus
  • Understanding of auto insurance claims/ auto repair processes, a plus

Benefits eligibility may differ depending on full-time or part-time status. Compensation depends on the applicable US geographic market. The expected base pay for this position ranges from $53,000 - $82,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
