Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems Sector is currently seeking a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is a fully remote position.
In this role you will be responsible for driving the flow of critical goods and services that keep our programs moving—from sourcing strategic suppliers to negotiating smart deals that cut cost and risk. In this role, you’ll be the connector between internal teams and the supply base, using tools like Lean Six Sigma to improve quality, speed, and efficiency across the entire procurement process.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and procure commodity goods and services from a diverse supplier base.
Lead RFQs/RFPs and analyze supplier pricing and proposals.
Partner with Quality to monitor supplier performance, reliability, and on-time delivery.
Collaborate with internal customers to ensure accurate, appropriate specifications.
Negotiate to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and manage risk.
Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring compliance with laws and company procedures (including import/export).
Coordinate with logistics/warehouse teams to ensure proper receipt and documentation.
Review and approve supplier invoices as needed.
Apply process improvement tools (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) to drive supplier quality and continuous improvement.

This role may be filled at a Level 2 or Level 3 based on the qualifications outlined below.
Basic Qualifications:
Supply Chain Procurement Specialist (Level 2)
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience; or a Master's Degree; or a High School Diploma and a minimum of 6 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, and/or supplier management
Experience with Excel, and reporting
Ability to Obtain and maintain a U.S Government Secret level Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet it's business needs (after starting).
Supply Chain Procurement Specialist (Level 3)
Bachelors degree with 5 years of experience working with supply chain management, business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, government procurement OR a Masters degree with 3 years experience working with supply chain management, business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, government procurement. In lieu of degree 9 years of experience working with supply chain management, business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, government procurement.
Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
Must have U.S Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience or familiarity with purchasing services
Experience in ERP, MRP
Active U.S Government Secret Clearance
