Admissions

The Admissions team advances Verto's mission by guiding students and families through the process of joining Verto, from their first request for information through deposit. Admissions helps families navigate what is a life-changing decision - whether to start college with an experience rich in self-discovery, abroad. The team oversees all aspects of supporting students and families through learning about Verto and which semester and location options may be best for each student. Admissions helps students and families navigate this process with confidence.

🚀 What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of up to 10 Admissions Counselors, responsible for the hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, development and performance management of the team. Promote their professional development by assigning tasks and responsibilities that foster each employee's individual growth 
  • Coach and motivate the team to achieve enrollment goals reflecting year over year growth. Provide coaching around specific strategies related to communication with students and families over phone, email, SMS and zoom, as well as related to organization, prioritization and time management. 
  • Ensure that your team is upholding appropriate representation of the Verto brand as well as that of our university partners. Conduct QA and managerial oversight as needed to ensure the highest standards are upheld
  • Ensure a positive and healthy team culture, helping the team to avoid burn out in a high volume environment 
  • Support students and families directly when management involvement is warranted, via phone, email, SMS or zoom 
  • Leverage data to enhance team’s performance. Identify possible risk and upside in pacing and other insights from data, create strategies based on those insights, and successfully implement those strategies with your team 
  • Execute process improvements to enhance workflows and to grow and scale Admissions operations 
  • Work cross functionally with stakeholders in other departments and externally outside of Verto, often utilizing influence without authority to achieve common goals 
  • Maintain Verto’s Salesforce CRM, database, and dashboards, fulfilling Verto’s value of transparency. Utilize our CRM as a tool to communicate transparently with your team about their performance. Additionally, ensure CRM records are completed accurately and completely by your team, ensuring an up to date and reliable source of truth at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

🧠 What We’re Looking For

Must-have:

  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to work remote, this is a remote position.
  • Able to travel at least 2 - 3 weeks per year.
  • Must be based in the US, and work on a time zone 1 hour +/- those in the continental US. (Example: GMT -8 through GMT -3).
  • Previous experience in Admissions leadership, higher education or sales management in an outbound call center preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential students and their families
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, goal-oriented 
  • Ability to receive and utilize feedback from leadership and team members 
  • Ability to provide feedback to team members and ensure a high level of performance on your team
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities and projects at once 

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience managing a sales or customer service team 
  • Experience with international travel or living abroad

💲Compensation
At Verto, base salary is one part of your total compensation package. 

Final base pay will depend on your location (aligned to Verto’s compensation regions), as well as your experience, skills, and relevant qualifications. Your recruiter/hiring manager can share the specific range for your location during the hiring process.

United States | Remote — Anticipated Base Salary Range
$65,000 - $75,000
