Salary Range: $210,000-$220,000

Position Summary:

The Vice President, Solutions & Delivery is responsible for translating customer opportunities into technically sound, commercially competitive, and executable solutions, and then leading those solutions through successful project delivery. This role serves as the critical link between business development, customers, engineering, suppliers, and project execution. Working closely with the Managing Director and Director, Market Development, the VP, Solutions & Delivery will lead the development of customer solutions during the pre-sales phase, including technical definition, supplier engagement, cost development, pricing support, schedule development, and execution planning. Following contract award, the role assumes overall responsibility for delivery, ensuring that projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer commitments. In the initial growth phase of the business, this will be a highly hands-on leadership role, personally leading key projects and supplier relationships while establishing the processes, partnerships, and delivery organization required to support future growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Solutions & Pre-Sales

  • Partner with the Managing Director and Director, Market Development to evaluate and develop qualified customer opportunities.
  • Lead the development of customer-specific technical and commercial solutions, particularly for EPCs, utilities, data centers, industrial customers, and other critical-power applications.
  • Translate customer requirements, specifications, and project constraints into an executable solution.
  • Develop project cost models and provide accurate cost inputs to support commercial proposals.
  • Engage suppliers and manufacturing partners to obtain competitive pricing, technical information, lead times, and commercial terms.
  • Develop preliminary project schedules, execution strategies, scopes of supply, and delivery assumptions.
  • Identify technical, commercial, schedule, and supply-chain risks before commitments are made to customers.
  • Participate in customer and EPC meetings as the company's solutions and delivery authority, supporting the commercial team through technical clarification, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure that what is proposed and sold can be successfully delivered at the expected cost, schedule, quality, and margin.

Project & Delivery Leadership

  • Assume overall delivery responsibility following contract award and provide continuity from proposal through execution.
  • Lead projects from contract handover through engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance.
  • Establish project budgets, schedules, milestones, reporting requirements, and risk registers.
  • Maintain accountability for project cost, schedule, quality, contractual scope, and overall delivery performance.
  • Manage changes in scope and ensure commercial impacts are identified and communicated appropriately.
  • Coordinate internal resources, customers, suppliers, contractors, and manufacturing partners throughout execution.
  • Provide clear project reporting and escalation to the Managing Director.
  • Lead resolution of delivery challenges while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Capture lessons learned and continuously improve estimating and execution based on actual project performance.

Supply Chain & Procurement

  • Own and develop the supply-chain strategy supporting the U.S. business.
  • Identify, qualify, negotiate with, and manage strategic suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Develop a competitive and reliable supplier network capable of supporting the company's growth.
  • Validate supplier pricing and continually identify opportunities to improve cost, lead time, quality, and commercial terms.
  • Manage critical procurement activities and supplier performance throughout project execution.
  • Develop appropriate sourcing strategies balancing domestic and international supply.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and engineering partners to ensure equipment and components meet project requirements.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Equally comfortable sitting across the table from an EPC or customer during the development of a multimillion-dollar opportunity as negotiating with a supplier, reviewing a project cost model, resolving an execution problem, or leading a project meeting.
  • Combines commercial awareness, technical understanding, supply-chain capability, and strong project execution experience.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial environment with limited initial infrastructure.
  • Willingness to remain hands-on while simultaneously building the systems and organization required for growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred) or related technical field; MBA a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in solutions engineering, project delivery, or program management for complex engineered equipment, electrical infrastructure, energy, or industrial capital projects.
  • Demonstrated project leadership across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction/installation, and commissioning.
  • Strong understanding of project costing, estimating, margin, cash flow, and commercial risk.
  • Experience developing and managing suppliers, subcontractors, and supply-chain strategy.
  • Experience working with EPCs, utilities, data centers, industrial customers, or other sophisticated capital-project customers.
