We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Credit Analyst to join our Data Analytics Unit. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making by analyzing credit portfolio performance, developing analytical solutions, producing management information and generating insights to strengthen credit risk management, lending strategies and portfolio profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Portfolio Analytics

  • Conduct analytical reviews of the Bank's credit portfolios to identify trends, opportunities and emerging risks.
  • Analyze customer behavior, delinquency trends, portfolio performance and lending strategies.
  • Conduct statistical analysis, business investigations and ad hoc research to support strategic initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve lending policies, portfolio management strategies and customer experience through analytics.

Management Information & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain recurring management, Board Committee and regulatory reports within agreed service levels.
  • Produce historical portfolio performance reports, trend analyses and management information.
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations and communicate analytical findings and recommendations to senior management.

Data Analytics & Solutions

  • Extract, cleanse, transform and validate data from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Develop automated analytical solutions using modern data tools to improve reporting efficiency.
  • Support the development and monitoring of credit scorecards.
  • Monitor portfolio data and conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with data governance initiatives by promoting data quality, consistency and adherence to analytical standards.

Business Partnership & Innovation

  • Collaborate with Credit Risk, Business Banking, Retail Banking, Finance, Information Technology and other business units to deliver analytical solutions.
  • Leverage Artificial Intelligence tools responsibly to improve productivity, automate repetitive tasks, support coding and data analysis, while maintaining appropriate governance and confidentiality standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Business Analytics or a related quantitative discipline.
  • A Master's Degree would be an asset.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in credit analytics, banking analytics, business intelligence, data science, risk analytics or a similar analytical role.
  • Experience working with financial services data, lending portfolios or credit risk analysis.

Technical Expertise

The successful candidate should possess:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, advanced formulas and data modelling.
  • Strong working knowledge of Python, including analytical libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn and Matplotlib.
  • Experience writing SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modelling and data visualization.
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau would be an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of banking products, including personal loans, mortgages, credit cards, SME lending, commercial loans, deposits and overdraft facilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end credit lifecycle and credit risk concepts, including delinquency, NPLs, PD, LGD, EAD, provisioning, vintage analysis and portfolio segmentation.
