Operator: Heavy Equipment

This role is required to travel to various project sites as assigned.

The Heavy Equipment Operator, as a minimum, must be capable of performing the following tasks:
•Perform daily service inspection of the equipment and complete the daily logs.
•Perform daily mechanical inspection of the equipment and complete the daily logs.
•Perform daily rigging inspection and complete the daily logs.
•Perform field adjustments to the equipment.
•Know how to read a load capacity chart
•Ensuring the fire extinguisher is in the rig and properly working.
•Know standard hand signals.
•Ensure all safety equipment is in operating condition prior to use.
The levels of Heavy Equiment operation in this company and the requirements thereof are as follows:
Level I
•Multiple heavy equipment operator, skilled with every type.
•Fully understand the operational capacity of the equipment to be operated.
•Demonstrated in the past the ability to maintain the equipment.
•Demonstrated in the past the ability to work safely.
•Have the tools of the craft.
•Can instruct and train others.
Level II
•Basic knowledge and training of equipment operation.
•Skilled in the operation of loader or track-hoe or both.
•Demonstrates ability to maintain equipment.
•Demonstrates ability to work safely.
•Have the tools of the craft.
