Job Description

Summary

The Software Engineer on the CDX Platform team will contribute to the development and evolution of Pismo's Control Center, a corporate web application that enables clients to manage and configure the products they have contracted. This role focuses on building secure, scalable, and reliable solutions while collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality user experiences.
The engineer will work on critical platform capabilities such as authentication, authorization, audit logs, dual approval workflows and foundational Control Center services. The ideal candidate combines solid software engineering skills, ownership mindset and a passion for delivering secure and robust solutions.
 

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions for the Control Center platform.

  • Contribute to platform capabilities including authentication, authorization, audit logging and other security-related services.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers and fellow engineers to deliver customer-focused solutions.

  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews and technical design activities.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while maintaining high availability and reliability standards.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.

  • Contribute to continuous improvements in application performance, observability, security and developer experience.

  • Support CI/CD processes and promote automation across the software development lifecycle.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning and technical estimations.

  • Monitor and improve system health, reliability and scalability.

  • Document technical solutions and share knowledge with team members.

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice. #LI-Remote

Qualifications

For this role, you must be based in Brazil 

Language Skills 

Proficiency in English at B2 level or above (Upper-Intermediate)

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience or 2+ years of experience in software development.

  • Experience with Golang and/or React

Technical Skills 

  • Experience with Golang and/or React.

  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.

  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Familiarity with observability tools, monitoring, and logging solutions such as Grafana.

  • Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, Aurora, Cockroach, DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc and distributed systems concepts.

  • Familiarity with Terraform or other IaC tools.

  • Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.

  • Understanding of AWS services such as SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge, etc.

  • Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts (OAuth, OpenID Connect, SSO).

  • Understanding of microservices and micro frontend architectures.

  • Experience developing, maintaining and supporting backend services and/or web applications in production environments, ensuring high performance, reliability, and operational excellence.

  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting production systems.

  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
