SAP BTP Developer - Remote

Job Title: SAP BTP Developer
Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)
Position Type: Full-time, Direct W2
Salary Range: $100,000–$150,000 Annually
Experience Required: 8+ years

Job Summary:
experienced SAP BTP Integration Suite Developer to support a large-scale enterprise ERP transformation and migration to SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP cloud integrations. This role will focus on hands-on integration development using SAP BTP Integration Suite, Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), APIs, and integration flows while collaborating with architects, functional analysts, development teams, and external vendors.
The environment is undergoing a significant modernization initiative, migrating legacy ERP systems to a next-generation SAP platform. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on SAP integration development experience and the ability to design, build, troubleshoot, and support integrations between SAP and third-party enterprise applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deploy integrations using SAP BTP Integration Suite and CPI.
  • Build cloud-based integrations connecting SAP S/4HANA and non-SAP enterprise applications.
  • Develop API-led, file-based, and message-based integration solutions.
  • Create and maintain integration flows, APIs, ALE/IDocs, XML, OData, SOAP, and REST integrations.
  • Support integrations involving platforms such as SuccessFactors, Salesforce, Ariba, Fiori, and other third-party systems.
  • Develop custom solutions using Groovy scripting, JavaScript, XML, and JSON.
  • Create Technical Design Documents based on business and functional requirements.
  • Participate in peer reviews, technical design reviews, code reviews, and quality assurance activities.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues, implement error handling, and support monitoring and production stability.
  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore development teams, functional analysts, solution architects, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • Support the organization's broader migration from legacy ERP platforms to SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP.
  • Provide technical guidance and development support across multiple projects and workstreams.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on SAP integration development experience preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite and SAP CPI/Cloud Integration.
  • Experience with PIPO, ALE/IDocs, BAPIs, OData Services, XML, flat-file interfaces, SOAP, and REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of API architecture and integration patterns.
  • Experience with security protocols including OAuth, SSL, certificates, and API authentication.
  • Strong scripting experience with Groovy, JavaScript, XML, and JSON.
  • Experience implementing integration error handling, including retry mechanisms and exception subprocesses.
  • Experience with integration monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Knowledge of SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), SAP HANA Cloud, and Git.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and experience supporting development and maintenance projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, as well as Jira.
  • Knowledge of SAP cloud applications such as SuccessFactors, Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, and Ariba is preferred.
  • Exposure to SAP ABAP, Eclipse, CDS Views, Fiori, Web Dynpro, UI5, HTML5, and NetWeaver Web Services is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
