Associate Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate QA Analyst to support software quality initiatives across our application portfolio. This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to grow in software testing and quality assurance while working alongside developers, product owners, and senior QA resources.

The Associate QA Analyst will be responsible for executing test cases, validating application functionality, documenting defects, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts that ensure delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute manual test cases and test plans for web-based applications.

  • Validate functionality, usability, and performance requirements.

  • Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.

  • Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and expected outcomes.

  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and Agile ceremonies.

  • Assist with regression, integration, and user acceptance testing activities.

  • Verify bug fixes and perform retesting activities.

  • Create and maintain testing documentation and test cases.

  • Help improve testing processes, standards, and quality metrics.

  • Learn and participate in test automation efforts as applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience.

  • 0-2 years of software QA, testing, or related experience.

  • Fundamental understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Agile development methodologies.

  • Experience with application testing tools such as Azure DevOps Test Plans, JIRA, or related platforms.

  • Basic understanding of SQL and database validation.

  • Familiarity with web application testing.

  • Knowledge of automated testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.

  • Understanding of API testing using Postman or similar tools.

The salary range for this position is approximately $55,000 - $75,000 base annually. This range reflects our good faith estimate to pay fairly as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
