As a CVS Health Corporate Intern you will participate in:

The Human Resources internship experience is an 10.5-week full-time opportunity that starts on May 24th 2027, and concludes on August 4th, 2027. 

This is a hybrid positionwith 3 days (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in the Hartford, CT office location. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice.  

Relocation stipends may be provided to qualifying interns who live more the 50 miles from their assigned office location. Interns will be given the opportunity to connect with each other prior to the start of the program to coordinate housing if desired.

The hourly rate is $26/hrwith 40 hours/ week, no work on Memorial day and July 4th (company holidays), and two days of paid leave. Additionally, successful interns are strongly positioned for consideration for future full-time opportunities with CVS Health, including the Human Resources Leadership Development Program. 

Sponsorship: 

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.  This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

Human Resources supports the enterprise through a wide range of business and corporate functions. Key areas include Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Learning & Development, Labor & Colleague Relations, Community Impact, Benefits & Compensation, HR Operations & Solution Delivery, and HR Consulting Services (HR Business Partner), among others.  

As an HR Intern, you will gain valuable exposure to these areas, build an understanding of how Human Resources drives business success, and have the opportunity to contribute directly through hands-on projects and meaningful work experiences in one or more of the areas noted. 

Previous internship experiences include, but are not limited to:  

  • Talent Acquisition / University Relations: Colleague sourcing, recruiting, hiring, and onboarding. 

  • Talent Development: Managing and supporting elements of colleague development programs, learning and development initiatives, the colleague experience, culture and change management, etc. 

  • Colleague Relations: Managing and contributing to elements of colleague and leader consulting on employee relations matters. 

  • Benefits and Compensation: Managing and contributing to elements of the strategy design and/or implementation of Total Rewards Packages. 

  • HR Consulting Services (HR Business Partner): Partnering with the business to enable organizational goals through relationship building and strategic HR consulting. Includes analyzing talent and performance data, succession planning, and communication initiatives. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Meet educational requirements (see education section).  

  • Have a willingness to work out of the Hartford, CT office.  

  • Demonstrated leadership experience. Examples include active roles in student or social organization activities, sports, or school or work-related projects. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  

  • Internship or work experience in related field. Examples include recruiting, interviewing, benefits, training, or strategic planning. 

  • Demonstrated comfort with technology and emerging tools, including an interest in how AI and digital solutions can enhance HR practices and the future of work. 

  • Project management experience. Examples include leading a school or work-related project from start to finish. 

  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration experience. 

  • An interest in obtaining a full-time position within CVS Health upon graduation. 

Education: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree. 

  • Have an anticipated graduation date between September 2027 and July 2028. 

  • Have a major, minor or concentration relevant to the position such as Human Resources; Business Administration/Management; Marketing; Communications; Sociology; Political Science & Psychology.  

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$25.00 - $25.00
