The Department of Revenue is hiring a Compliance Specialist Supervisor. This unit oversees county tax digest approval, complex utility and timberland property appraisals, tax administration compliance, accurate AAVT distributions, Forest Land Grant audits, and training for local tax officials.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Tax Oversight, the Supervisor leads a team of professional staff responsible for auditing tax digests, publishing the annual property tax report, approving digests or assessing penalties, setting rules and forms for property taxation, and training local tax officials on ad valorem taxation.
Key Duties
Overseeing the annual approval of county tax digests and ensuring all documents are uploaded to the DOR Property Tax System.
Compiling and publishing the annual ad valorem tax report.
Examining and auditing Forest Land Grant requests from local entities.
Developing training materials and leading classes for tax commissioners and local officials.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED and five (5) years of job-related experience which includes two (2) years in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role related to the area of assignment; or two (2) years of experience required at the lower level Complnc Specialist 3 (RCP062) or position equivalent.--Note: Some positions may require a certification or licensure.--Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.Equal Employment Opportunity Employer
