What are the responsibilities of a Sales Development Representative?

Our Sales Development Team is responsible for generating new business and growing existing accounts via outbound sales activities. This is an essential part of the sales process and involves identifying potential clients and initiating contact via various channels, including phone calls, email campaigns and social media platforms. As well as outbound sales, there is a key element of account management and relationship building with clients.

For this particular role, you will be responsible for engaging with businesses and prospects across the Australian and/or New Zealand markets. Previous professional experience selling into or working with these markets is therefore essential.

The core responsibilities of this role are:

  • Place between 50–70 outbound calls to set appointments and initiate the sales process on behalf of our clients.
  • Account management, developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Work to achieve daily, weekly and monthly goals through the execution of lead generation activities.
  • Continuous prospecting through LinkedIn, Discover.org and other data sources.
  • Utilising email and social media platforms to book meetings with qualified prospects.
  • Engage confidently and professionally with prospects and businesses across the Australian and/or New Zealand markets, adapting your communication style to the market and audience.

THE BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR US:

  • Remote working from Singapore.
  • Focus on learning, development and internal career progression.
  • Salary range from $40,000–$55,000 SGD basic, plus monthly commission.
  • Regular company events, such as our summer and Christmas parties.
  • Our top performers are rewarded for their hard work by receiving an invitation to the annual President’s Club. Previous trips include sunny Rhodes and Cancun in glorious five-star resorts.
  • As well as receiving financial bonuses as you climb our internal career ladder, we have many other incentives to reward you for your work.
  • The beloved running club – be in with a chance to win prizes as you compete with other runners!
  • Competitive annual leave.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Previous professional experience working with or selling into the Australian and/or New Zealand market is essential. This could include experience in sales, business development, account management, customer success or another client-facing commercial role where you regularly engaged with customers or prospects in these markets.
  • You must be fluent in English. Fluency in English is required as the position involves regular business communication and client engagement in English.
  • B2B Sales Experience.
  • Curiosity, accountability, conscientiousness and resilience are core values of memoryBlue.
  • Strong written, verbal and phone skills.
  • IT proficient.
  • Metrics-driven and goal-orientated.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise responsibilities.

Please note: This is not a general Singapore based sales position. The successful candidate will specifically support campaigns targeting businesses and prospects in Australia and/or New Zealand, which is why previous professional experience working with these markets is a key requirement for the role.
