Accounts Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Specialist to oversee VAT, tax, audit, and other accounting-related tasks for Talvette Limited. The role requires strong knowledge of Bangladesh tax laws, VAT regulations, compliance standards, and hands-on experience in financial reporting and audits. The candidate will work closely with management to ensure timely and accurate financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
• Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns in compliance with NBR requirements.
• Prepare and submit monthly withholding tax returns.
• Prepare and file annual income tax return before statutory deadlines.
• Coordinate and arrange annual statutory audit.
• Prepare necessary documents, vouchers, and schedules for auditors.
• Ensure compliance with NBR, RJSC, Bangladesh Bank, and other relevant authorities.
• Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and payable with proper documentation.
• Prepare monthly financial report including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Prepare business forecasting analyzing the financial statements and advice strategy to grow the revenue.
• Process monthly payroll, prepare payslips, deduct and deposit applicable taxes.
• Handle vendor payments with proper VAT and tax deductions.
• Manage cash and cheque collections when necessary.

• Any other duties or support to fulfil regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant work experience in accounting, taxation, and audit in Bangladesh.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, Tax, and Financial Regulations (as per NBR guidelines).
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, or Zoho Books), Google Workspace (Google Doc, Google Sheet, Google Slide) and MS Excel.
• Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

• Good communication skills in Bangla and English.

• Professional certifications (CA/ACCA/ICMAB) preferred.

Employment Structure

• Work from home in Dhaka | Part-time & Contractual
• Salary: BDT 12,000 - 15,000
• Work hours: 15-20 hours per week, flexible schedule, but must ensure timely submission of reports and filings.
