Summary:
Responsible for the development and integration of new or existing applications into the technical infrastructure and existing business processes. Provides technical or functional guidance to project or work teams as needed within a specific discipline. Collaborates on an ongoing basis with the Business Systems Analyst. Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, and/or enhances existing or new systems/web pages that are reliable and efficient. Responsible for the writing and updating full-stack applications on existing hardware and business processes. Performs Power BI dashboard development, SQL data structuring, API integrations, workflow automation, and cloud development. Experience with Agile methodology, software lifecycle, and scrum ceremonies.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage requirements as listed in the job description.
- Manages allotted projects to achieve deadlines pertaining to the scope of SCADA integration, commissioning, startup, and testing.
- Works collaboratively with in-house resources and suppliers in various disciplines to determine project priorities, achieve milestones and actions, schedule and work plans to meet milestones.
- Plans and schedules work and vendors to achieve portfolio deliverables.
- Commission SCADA equipment for Photovoltaic and Energy Store System.
- Read and review engineering drawing for SCADA and power plant equipment.
- Reporting daily, weekly, and monthly on progress to upper management.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required.
- Certifications in AWS, Microsoft Power BI, Salesforce, IT Project Management (PMP, Agile, SAFe) preferred or DevOps methodologies preferred.
Relevant Experience
- 15 years of experience leading enterprise-level IT infrastructure, software development, and data architecture.
Responsibilities
- Define the strategic direction for enterprise software development and architecture.
- Lead organization-wide software initiatives and technology transformations.
- Ensure alignment of IT infrastructure with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a technical advisor to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Drive innovation in software engineering best practices, methodologies, and emerging technologies.
Other
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI, Java, .NET, AWS, and cloud-based technologies.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, cloud automation, ERP integration, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with SCADA operations, Power BI, AWS Glue, Lambda, SNS, and SQS.
- Understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements like SOX and cybersecurity best practices.
Preferred Background
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics or related education, or equivalent experience related to Data analytics for Renewable power plants.
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Renewable industry experience.
- The ideal candidate will have a foundation in data science and the technical skills necessary for data engineering and some front-end development knowledge.
- This role is key in driving the development and implementation of minimum viable products for intelligent solutions that optimize internal processes and SCADA operations for Renewable power plants.
Preferred Skillsets
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala for data analysis and machine learning.
- Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kubernetes.
- Adept at using SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services integration.
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn.
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Ensure data quality and integrity across various sources and platforms.
- Collaborate with IT to integrate data solutions within existing infrastructure.
Data Science
- Develop and implement simple machine learning models and algorithms to derive actionable insights.
- Perform data analysis and visualization to support business decisions.
- Conduct experiments and validations to iterate on model performance.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to develop user-friendly interfaces for AI-driven tools.
- Implement interactive web applications to visualize data and model outcomes.
- Integrate front-end applications with back-end services and databases.
Physical Requirements / Working Environment
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently on a daily basis.
- Standing on feet for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work at desk position in front of a computer monitor for extensive periods of time.
- Bending, stooping, and twisting frequently to move inventory and other items.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle for purposes of commuting between 2 working locations.
- Ability to travel as required.
