Description:
Impresiv Health is seeking an Application Developer I, II, or III to design, develop, implement, maintain, and support business-critical applications, interfaces, reporting solutions, and data integrations within a healthcare environment.

The level of the position will be determined based on the candidate's experience and technical expertise. The Application Developer will collaborate with business analysts, developers, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle to develop reliable solutions supporting business operations, accurate data exchange, process improvement, and regulatory compliance.

Depending on level, the developer will support projects ranging from small-scale and basic applications to large-scale, complex applications, interfaces, data processes, and data warehouse solutions.

What You Will Do:

  • Maintain existing applications and develop new applications to support organizational business needs.
  • Develop queries, reports, and data solutions to support internal business functions and operational decision-making.
  • For the Application Developer III level, support the development and maintenance of data warehouse solutions.
  • Review existing business and technical processes and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, reliability, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot production issues involving application performance, data errors, integration failures, and process failures.
  • Review error logs, source code, database information, and related technical data to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, technical teams, and business users throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Gather and understand requirements, evaluate technical solutions, perform testing, and demonstrate completed functionality to end users.
  • Participate in application and solution design reviews and provide technical input to other developers.
  • Develop technical requirements based on business and system requirement specifications.
  • Follow established software development lifecycle, coding standards, change management, and quality control procedures.
  • Document application code, processes, technical specifications, and system functionality.
  • Support application integrations and accurate data exchange between internal systems and external trading partners.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Application Developer I: Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent training and experience.
  • Training or hands-on experience with SQL programming, Microsoft SQL Server database development, and T-SQL query generation.
  • Knowledge of one or more applicable programming languages or platforms, including .NET, PERL, Java, SAS, Visual Basic, C++, or other modern programming languages or related software.
  • Knowledge of database concepts and data processes sufficient to understand, develop, analyze, and support projects and recommend improvements to existing processes.
  • Ability to document application code and technical processes.
  • Ability to create and follow technical specifications.
  • Ability to analyze data.
  • Working knowledge of applicable computer software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to use a keyboard with moderate speed and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with internal departments, providers, and external entities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize and complete tasks within established timeframes.

  • Experience with QNXT desired.
  • Experience with the design and development of EDI solutions that meet HIPAA X12 standards.
  • Knowledge of BizTalk, SharePoint, ActiveBatch, and other core integration tools and services.
  • Applicable software development certifications.

Application Developer II: Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent training and experience.
  • Minimum of two years of application development experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience with SQL programming, Microsoft SQL Server database development, and T-SQL query generation.
  • Minimum of one year of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence tools, including SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, or other enterprise business intelligence software.
  • Minimum of one year of experience with one or more applicable programming languages or platforms, including .NET, PERL, Java, SAS, Visual Basic, C++, or other modern programming languages or related software.
  • Minimum of one year of experience with healthcare management information systems.
  • Knowledge of database concepts and data processes sufficient to understand, develop, analyze, and support projects and recommend improvements to existing processes.
  • Ability to document application code and technical processes.
  • Ability to create and follow technical specifications.
  • Ability to analyze data.

  • Minimum of three years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence tools, including SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, or other enterprise business intelligence software.
  • Minimum of three years of experience with one or more applicable programming languages or platforms, including .NET, PERL, Java, SAS, Visual Basic, C++, or other modern programming languages or related software.
  • Minimum of three years of experience with healthcare management information systems.
  • Ability to create and restore database backups.
  • Experience with database performance monitoring and SQL query tuning.
  • Knowledge of database concepts and data processes sufficient to understand, develop, analyze, and support complex projects and recommend improvements to existing processes.
  • Ability to document application code and technical processes.
