AbeTech is seeking an experienced RFID Practice Lead to drive the growth, execution, and technical excellence of our RFID and IoT solutions business. This leadership role is responsible for managing the RFID practice, overseeing solution design standards, supporting sales efforts, maintaining strategic vendor relationships, and serving as AbeTech's subject matter expert for RFID technologies. 

The RFID Practice Lead will work closely with Sales, Product Management, Project Management, Professional Services, and vendor partners to develop and deliver innovative solutions that meet client needs while achieving profitability and growth objectives. 

The position reports directly to the Director of Strategy and Solutions and requires some travel, estimated at 35%- 50% of working time. 

Key Responsibilities 

RFID Practice Leadership 

  • Lead and manage RFID Solution Architects to ensure high-quality technical solutions and consistent client engagement. 
  • Develop and maintain RFID practice standards, governance, documentation, and engagement processes. 
  • Manage strategic relationships with RFID vendors and technology partners. 
  • Own pricing strategy, discount guidelines, and profit margin management for RFID solutions. 
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Project Management, and Professional Services to ensure successful opportunity qualification, solution design, delivery readiness, and implementation. 

Sales Support & Solution Design 

  • Champion RFID solutions throughout the organization and support sales enablement efforts. 
  • Assist Sales teams in evaluating customer requirements and identifying solution opportunities. 
  • Conduct software and hardware demonstrations for customers and internal stakeholders. 
  • Develop business cases, estimates, surveys, and related documentation. 
  • Provide recommendations regarding hardware, software, and overall solution architecture. 
  • Partner with Project Management to develop project estimates, schedules, and resource plans. 
  • Support vendor relationships to optimize solution offerings and customer outcomes. 

Subject Matter Expertise 

  • RFID Solutions 
  • Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 
  • Ultra-Wideband (UWB) 
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and products from strategic partners. 
  • Collaborate with Product Management to assess new solutions and market opportunities. 
  • Present new technologies and solution offerings to Product, Sales, and leadership teams. 
  • Maintain design documentation, solution specifications, and configuration archives. 
  • Support AbeTech-branded products and solution offerings. 

Training & Professional Development 

  • Complete all required training programs and certifications. 
  • Maintain partner certifications and technical accreditations. 
  • Stay current on RFID, IoT, and related industry technologies and best practices. 
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to strengthen technical and leadership capabilities. 
Requirements

Required Knowledge & Experience 

  • Strong expertise in RFID solution architecture and IoT technologies. 
  • Experience with RFID hardware, software, implementation methodologies, and vendor ecosystems. 
  • Understanding of pricing strategies, solution profitability, and margin management. 
  • Experience supporting technical sales and consultative solution design. 
  • Ability to lead technical resources and coordinate cross-functional initiatives. 
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with BLE and UWB technologies. 
  • Knowledge of warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial automation environments. 
  • Previous experience managing vendor relationships and strategic technology partnerships. 
  • Relevant RFID, IoT, or partner certifications.

The successful candidate will: 

  • Lead a high-performing RFID practice that delivers consistent technical and business results. 
  • Ensure standardized sales, solution design, and delivery processes are adopted across teams. 
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships that support revenue growth and technical excellence. 
  • Provide expert guidance that improves customer outcomes and solution quality. 
  • Increase organizational adoption of RFID and IoT solutions. 
  • Support a goal of increasing the number of sales professionals actively selling RFID services by 30% over the course of the year

Salary Description $165k - $185k per year plus Bonus Opportunity
