Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) is seeking an Outpatient Supervisor to support the daily operations of our Telehealth services, Hope from Home Program. This role assists with patient coordination, clinical documentation review, insurance authorization and funding tracking. The Outpatient Supervisor serves as a key liaison among patients, clinical staff, providers, and funding resources to help ensure services are delivered effectively, documentation meets policy and regulatory standards, and patients receive the care and support they need throughout their treatment experience.

The Outpatient Supervisor plays an important role in supporting the quality, consistency, and coordination of telehealth services. This position helps ensure patient information, authorizations, funding details, and clinical documentation are accurate and complete. By supporting staff, patients, and providers, this role helps promote continuity of care and contributes to positive treatment outcomes. 

Your Role in Transforming Recovery

You will help maintain smooth daily operations for the telehealth program by identifying gaps in authorizations, funding contracts, service codes, documentation, and patient support needs. You will assist with maintaining patient tracking databases, reviewing clinical documentation, supporting telehealth clinical communication, attending clinical meetings, and helping resolve scheduling or coverage concerns. You may also provide clinical treatment coverage when needed to support continuity of care. 

Requirements

What Do We Require

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, or another related field. 
  • At least one year of clinical experience in a health or human service agency working directly with individuals with substance use disorders. 
  • Previous supervisory or management experience. 
  • Ability to work remotely with reliable high-speed internet. 
  • Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment practices and clinical documentation standards. 
  • Solid understanding of medical necessity, treatment planning, progress notes, and discharge planning requirements. 
  • Knowledge of insurance authorizations, funding sources, and payer requirements. 
  • Strong crisis assessment and intervention skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational, time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficiency with electronic health records, telehealth platforms, Microsoft Office, and related technology systems. 
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with clinical staff, providers, patients, and funding resources. 
  • Knowledge of confidentiality, HIPAA, and professional ethical standards. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or above from an accredited college with a major in medicine, chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or another related field. 
  • Two years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency. 
  • Certification from the Pennsylvania Certification Board. 

Other Requirements

  • Pass a PA Criminal Background Check. 
  • Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances. 
  • Pass Drug Screen. 
  • Complete a 2-Step TB Test. 
  • Obtain CPR/First Aid Certification. 

What Are the Work Conditions

  • Remote position. 
  • Must possess high speed internet and make appropriate adjustments if requested. 
  • Minimal physical demands. 
  • Significant mental demands include frequent routine decision making, crisis management, and working with chemically dependent individuals in a fast-paced virtual environment.
