Social Media Video Editor – Newsletter & Media (Remote)

The Opportunity

This is a part-time remote opportunity for a Social Media Video Editor supporting a newsletter and media business led by an experienced macro portfolio manager, author, and former Wall Street bond trader. The client produces digital content that reaches millions of people each month across digital platforms. Reporting to the Head of Content, the editor will work closely with internal team members to create high-quality social media video content with accurate pacing and on-screen subtitles. This expansion role is designed to add editing capacity to a collaborative content team where speed, quality, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit social media video content with a focus on high-quality final outputs.

• Ensure video pacing and on-screen subtitles are accurate.

• Support content creation and coordination as part of the broader content workflow.
• Contribute to social media management and graphic design needs associated with content production.
• Collaborate daily with the Head of Content and other internal team members.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities consistently while meeting deadlines.
• Communicate progress and coordinate closely with the Head of Content throughout the editing process.

Required Skills

Core Technical Skills Required

• 2–5 years of relevant specialist-level experience.

• Content creation and coordination, social media management, and graphic design skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Experience working with Premiere Pro Team Projects and collaborative editing workflows
• Experience creating, attaching, relinking, and editing with proxy media
• Experience downloading and transferring large video/media files with reliable, stable internet connection; wired Ethernet strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of multicam editing, audio synchronization, color workflows, and basic audio mixing

• Experience working with Google Workspace and Slack.

• Ability to produce accurate video edits with strong pacing and on-screen subtitles.

• Ability to download and transfer large video files internationally.

Compensation

Competitive monthly compensation based on experience and role scope.

Monthly compensation ranges from ₱35,000 – ₱45,000, depending on experience and role scope. Final compensation is aligned with the candidate’s experience level.

Candidates applying for this role should have a reliable home office setup, stable internet connection, and the ability to maintain consistent availability during the required working hours.

This is a part-time role requiring availability from approximately 9:00 or 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM CT, with occasional evening or weekend availability as needed.
