REMOTE role in USA

TE Connectivity’s Sr Manager Quality is responsible for the deployment and realization of the Aerospace Defense and Marine (AD&M) Business Units Quality Strategy across the Global footprint of its Connector Business.  This person will lead, drive, and support Relay Plants to achieve best in class quality for our customers in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.


You will focus on continuous improvement and collaborate across the plants and functions to drive critical Quality KPIs such as: Customer Complaints, COPQ, QNs, Notice of Escapes, and audit findings. Working with the Relay Plant teams, you will drive robust problem solving by leveraging the TEOA toolbox with methods such as Quick Response Management, Shainin Red-X , PDCA, DMIAC, and the 8D Root Cause and Corrective Action toolset.  You’ll attack problems systemically leveraging read across opportunities to accelerate improvement throughput AD&M.


You will partner closely with all pillars of Quality: Design, Buy, Build, and Customer.  You will support the qualification and mitigation efforts needed to protect our Mil Spec parts (the QPL family jewels) and ensure implementation of the ONE AD&M Quality Management System across your plants. 


This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Global Quality for AD&M and supports the Sr. Director of Global Relays Operations and his/her extended leadership team. 

Job Requirements

•    Lead the realization of AD&M Quality Strategy by turning our initiatives into executable actions and results.
•    Provide leadership and execution of actions to improve all Quality related KPIs – COPQ, Customer Complaints, Notice of Escape (NOEs), Quality Notifications, Block Stock, and Audit Findings.
•    Develop and deploy global quality competency programs, certification processes, and training systems that strengthen problem-solving, APQP, PPAP, RCCA, and process-control capabilities across AD&M.
•    Partner with Plant Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to implement robust process controls.
•    Team with Sr Quality Leads with other product lines outside relays to develop and implement one AD&M approach to Quality processes.   
•    Collaborate with the pillars of Quality: Design, Supplier, Build, and Customer Quality to improve quality assurance across the value chain.
•    Provide leadership on top customer engagements to ensure timely and effective response and solutions to both problems and opportunities. 
•    Lead and coach others to solve our most complex problems and deliver improvement opportunities.

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Discipline
  • · 12+ yrs of experience in industry – Aerospace, Defense, or component manufacturing experience for regulated industry is preferred.
  •   Travel is 25% - 50%.
  • · Fluent in the requirements of AS9100 and AS9145
  • · Demonstrated ability to lead teams, forge strong internal relationships, and drive transformation globally.
  • · Demonstrated success leading large-scale organizational and quality transformation initiatives across multiple global manufacturing sites
  • · Track Record of solving complex problems through structured methodologies – both leading and coaching others.
  • · Analytical – excellent data skills, SAP literacy a plus.
  • · Experienced in the use of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 8D and other advanced statistical methods including DOE, DFMEA< PFMEA< MSA, Control Plans, and Capability Studies.
  • · Proven track record of being able to work on multiple programs concurrently while maintaining timely completion of defined project tasks.
  • · Possesses strong leadership and communications skills
  • · Shows Up with strong presence and influence
  • · Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment
  • · Track Record of Successfully managing projects from concept to implementation.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $152,300k - 228,500k annually  (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal & external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
