Job description

Horace Mann is looking for a motivated, relationship-driven Life Sales Representative to help educators plan for a secure retirement. In this remote role, you'll engage with current and prospective clients—primarily in the education field—to understand their goals and match them with life solutions that meet their needs. What You’ll Do

  • Handle in-bound inquiries and place out-bound follow-up calls to educators seeking life insurance solutions.
  • Develop trust-based relationships, educating clients on owning life insurance products.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and activity metrics through consultative, needs-based selling.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company quality standards.
  • Accurately document interactions in CRM systems and stay informed on industry updates and product enhancements.

Schedule

  • Remote, full-time position.
  • Eight-hour shifts scheduled within business hours:
    Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–7 p.m. CT.

Requirements

  • Active life license is required; health license to be obtained within 6 months of employment.
  • 3 years of financial services or consultative sales experience required, preferably within insurance, retirement planning, or wealth accumulation environments.
  • Experience in a call center or sales role, with proven ability to meet sales targets.
  • Passion for serving educators and a strong sense of mission.
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills with the ability to build credibility and trust quickly in a remote engagement model.
  • Comfortable using CRM tools, multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and working independently.

  • $21.44 - $29.16 per hour with uncapped commission.

Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.
