Job Description:

The Opportunity: Global Talent Management (GTM) at TJX is offering co-op opportunities in our Framingham, MA offices to students seeking to learn, grow and contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic corporate organization. If you are inquisitive about how we use data analytics to drive talent development, then this opportunity is the right one for you! This co-op role will provide analytical support for key strategic initiatives of GTM, all while learning and understanding the TJX retail business operating model. You will be assigned projects that contribute to talent development practices, as well as assist with daily activities within the GTM Operations team. You will collaborate with experienced professionals, managers and senior leaders, to ensure we are managing and executing assigned projects and deliverables in a timely, effective, and efficient manner. What you will do: • Gain valuable experience through a variety of job responsibilities, projects and initiatives • Perform data analysis on a mix of GTM workstreams include class evaluations, project management tracking, course scheduling tools and learning program consumption • Develop reports that empower leaders to make data informed decisions that drive talent development • Compile and organize historical data to facilitate future talent development classes and programs • Contribute to ongoing projects to be used in developing GTM operating model • Collaborate cross-functionally with all departments within GTM and HR • Engage with Management to facilitate effective communication and collaboration • Each co-op will receive targeted supervision and guidance, hands-on training to facilitate learning, while given a high degree of autonomy - providing the tools for success in a global Fortune 85 retail environment What You Will Get Out of It: • Learn about the unique business model of TJX • Deeper understanding of talent analysis strategy and execution • Be part of a small team and be able to see the direct impact you have on a growing brand Who We Are Looking For: It Just Might Be You. We are looking for current students who are highly motivated self-starters, with the ability to prioritize effectively, be proactive and flexible, and demonstrate a strong bias for action in a fast-paced professional environment. Additional skills include: • Students who are sincerely interested in a career in data analysis • Must be detail oriented • Advanced Excel skills (i.e. pivot tables, charts, v-look up, etc.) • Dashboarding experience preferred with Power BI and/or Tableau • Proven leadership abilities with strong quantitative and analytical skills • Data & number-driven mindset • Ability to create compelling presentations of data for story telling • Ability to anticipate and think-through the impact of decisions • Excellent communicators, who are able to concisely and effectively deliver results • Strong interpersonal skills with experience in working in teams and communicating to groups • Demonstrated effective time management skills to ensure all projects are completed in an effective and timely manner • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on simultaneous projects both independently and in team environments • Willingness to seek out feedback, and ability to incorporate feedback to enhance performance Key Qualifications: • Students eligible for an intermediate to advanced co-op • Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, (Other majors may be considered)
