Job Description:
Overview: Are you ready to make a global impact and drive value to our bottom line? Join our Global Sourcing & Procurement (GS&P) co-op program, where you’ll collaborate with experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience. You’ll partner across the business to support the sourcing of goods and services essential to TJX’s operations in areas such as supply chain, IT, marketing, sustainability, and more, ultimately driving business results. Our Global Sourcing & Procurement group collaborates with leaders around TJX, helping to: Bring external markets insights, combined with TJX internal business conditions, including global spending Deliver independent, impartial perspectives, and ideas to analyze and manage spending, including potential savings Prepare for supplier market changes that could pose risks Facilitate sourcing by executing strategy, bids, negotiations, contract support, procurement setup Navigate TJX, facilitating cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration Comply with TJX requirements and standards Maximize suppliers’ capabilities and evaluate performance Responsibilities: Support GS&P’s category management team as they evaluate and negotiate with vendors around the world to support TJX’s operations. As a GS&P co-op, you could potentially work on projects related to Logistics, IT, Store Operations, Supplies (DCs and Stores), and Marketing Lead low- to medium-complexity sourcing events, collaborating with GS&P’s business partners across TJX. Collaborate with our cross-functional project teams to aid in the selection of suppliers and activities leading up to it Utilize GS&P’s intelligence and analysis tools to conduct research and analysis to support category sourcing initiatives You’ll help to identify opportunities for process improvement and demand management You’ll help identify opportunities for supplier relationship management and rationalization Who we are looking for: We are looking for students who are highly-motivated self-starters who prioritize effectively, are proactive and flexible, and thrive in a fast-paced, professional environment.
