Job description

.

.

Key Responsibilities
•    Salesforce Development & Customization: Build, test, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, SOQL/SOSL, and other appropriate platform capabilities.
•    Rock Execution & Delivery: Execute assigned development work within projects and sprints, provide accurate technical estimates, communicate risks or blockers early, and consistently deliver against agreed sprint commitments.
•    Code Quality & Engineering Standards: Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code; participate in peer code reviews; implement feedback from the Salesforce Technical Manager per established standards.
•    Integrations & APIs: Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, integration platforms, webhooks, and other approved approaches — with real production-level ownership, not just conceptual familiarity.
•    Platform Performance & Optimization: Develop with governor limits, performance, security, scalability, and long-term maintainability in mind.
•    Technical Debt & Platform Maintenance: Support remediation of technical debt, legacy code, inefficient automation, and deprecated functionality — a current priority area.
•    Troubleshooting & Incident Support: Diagnose and resolve technical defects and complex issues escalated by Administrators or Operations, partnering with the Salesforce Technical Manager on deeper architectural reviews.
•    Technical Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for custom development, integrations, configuration dependencies, and deployment considerations.

Required Qualifications

  • Senior-level Salesforce development experience (3–5+ years, with demonstrated ability to perform at a senior level) with Apex, LWC, Flows, SOQL/SOSL, and custom solutions.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (required).
  • Strong knowledge of Apex patterns, governor limits, security, data modeling, and scalable design.
  • Hands-on, production-level integration experience with REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or web services.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver production-ready solutions.
  • Experience modernizing legacy software environments and resolving technical debt.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Platform Developer II or App Builder certification.
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud experience.
  • Familiarity with Zapier, JotForm, and/or Calendly (tools in active daily use at Mountain Mover) or comparable integration/automation platforms.
  • Experience with Git, source control, and Salesforce deployment pipelines (DevOps/CI/CD) — evaluated further via a live technical assessment.
  • Knowledge of Batch, Queueable, Scheduled Apex, and platform events.

Technical & Soft Skills

  • Strong unit testing, regression testing, and deployment validation practices.
  • Understanding of bulkification, query optimization, large data volumes, and referential integrity.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and technical documentation skills.
  • Comfortable working independently as the company's primary Salesforce developer while collaborating closely with the Technical Manager.

Experience Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of Salesforce development experience, ideally performing at a senior level.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on (not just conceptual) production integration experience.

Reporting Structure

Reports to the Salesforce Manager (Philippines-based); the Salesforce Director is also Philippines-based. Open to candidates in the Philippines and India.

Role-Specific Expectations & Business Context

  • This is currently a true individual contributor role — you'll be the company's sole/primary Salesforce developer, with no formal lead/management track available yet. The team plans to add mid-level developers as projects grow.
  • A live technical assessment is part of the hiring manager interview stage.
  • Modernizing legacy processes and reducing technical debt is an immediate area of focus.
