Cherokee Federal is seeking a Salesforce Consultant to support a Department of War government environment. This role partners with government product and program leads to modernize and optimize Salesforce capabilities, including Salesforce Government Cloud development, requirements leadership, and delivery support across configuration, testing, and deployment.

Responsibilities Include:

Configuration & Declarative Development

  • Design and maintain Salesforce org configuration including objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and permission sets
  • Build and optimize automation using Flows, and maintain legacy Process Builder/Workflow rules
  • Configure and optimize Salesforce using declarative tools, with emphasis on Flow (record-triggered, screen flows, scheduled flows), approvals, validation rules, page layouts, and Lightning App Builder to reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure declarative automation is scalable, maintainable, and aligned with governance, auditability, and compliance expectations in a regulated environment.
  • Present formal and informal oral and written briefings to government managers; produce executive-ready summaries and decision support materials.
  • Manage security model including profiles, roles, sharing rules, and permission set groups
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

OmniStudio

  • Build and configure OmniStudio components: FlexCards, OmniScripts, DataRaptors (Extract/Transform/Load/Turbo), and Integration Procedures

  • Troubleshoot and debug OmniStudio components across environments

Custom / Programmatic Development

  • Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, and asynchronous processes (Batch, Queueable, Scheduled)

  • Write and consume REST/SOAP integrations and callouts to external systems
  • Author Apex unit tests meeting code coverage and quality standards

  • Use source control (Git) and CI/CD tooling (e.g., SFDX, Gearset, Copado) for deployments
  • Translate business requirements into scalable solutions, choosing appropriately between declarative and programmatic approaches
  • Document technical designs, data flows, and configuration decisions

Qualifications

  • Salesforce Administrator and Platform Developer I certifications (OmniStudio Developer/Consultant a plus)
