Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client.

The current period of performance is scheduled to end on August 31, 2027; however, the client retains the unilateral right to extend the contract beyond this date by exercising one or more option periods, subject to the terms, conditions, and funding provisions of the awarded contract

The Work

The Quality Assurance Analyst will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and business analysts, to develop and execute test cases, test plans, and scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications. They will be responsible for preparing quality assurance artifacts, reporting metrics, and performing ADA accessibility testing in compliance with regulatory standards.

This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct verification and validation activities across multiple test streams, typically under tight deadlines, to ensure software and systems meet specified requirements.
  • Create detailed QA artifacts such as test cases, test plans, and test scripts aligned with software requirements and design specifications.
  • Prepare for and manage test execution efforts either as part of a large team or as the sole tester, ensuring thorough testing and issue identification.
  • Complete thorough ADA accessibility testing to ensure compliance with relevant accessibility standards.
  • Generate daily test status reports and provide detailed test metrics as inputs for progress tracking in the Mainframe Transformation program.
  • Conduct manual, automated, system, integration, and regression testing leveraging diverse methodologies to validate software functionality and performance.
  • Verify transactional databases, including Informatica code and data extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Validate legacy Mainframe applications, data reporting systems, and applications developed in Java and .NET environments to ensure proper functionality and integration.
  • Analyze user requirements, operational procedures, and system challenges to identify opportunities for improvement, automation of processes, and refinement of existing systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Here’s What You Need

  • 5 years of experience with: 
    • Testing applications designed in Java and .NET.
    • Ability to test web applications, with familiarity in Cloud and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) concepts.
  • 8 years of experience with:
    • Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, Black Box Testing, White Box Testing, and both Manual and Automated Testing.
    •  Advanced-level experience using SQL queries and PL/SQL programs for application testing.
    • Software Quality Assurance or Software Engineering methodologies.
    • Writing, revising, and verifying quality standards and test procedures, including test plans and test cases.
    • Breaking down business requirements and technical design specifications into test cases.
    • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • 4 years experience in:
    • Data testing using SSIS and SSRS as well as ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
    • Data testing between MS SQL databases, Oracle, and Mainframe data.
  • 2 years experience with the RRC LoneSTAR system.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 years experience with:
    • Using Azure DevOps for planning, tracking, and creating dashboards.
    • Mainframe application testing, including one or more of COBOL, JCL, CICS, Informatica, and Mulesoft.
    • Developing web application test scripts using Java, Selenium, or similar tools.
    • Database queries and the ability to create input data and verify data updates.
    • ADA planning and testing.
    • Informatica and Change Data Capture (CDC) planning and testing.
    • Microsoft, Java, and n-tier web technologies.
    • Current web technologies and the testing of web applications.
    • Functional testing, performance testing, and load/stress testing.
  • 6 years Generating SQL queries and utilizing other data interrogation methods.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry as well as general compliance and enforcement-related projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience.
