Job Summary


The Director of Sales is a dynamic and results-driven role in leading sales operations within a distribution transformer manufacturer, across a specified region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base. This role requires a deep understanding of the distribution transformer market, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales management and customer relationship building.

This role will support ERMCO’s Western Region and is remote within the following states: AZ, FL, GA, IL, KS, MA, MI, NC, NE, SD, TN, TX, WI, and WY. Candidates may reside in or relocate to any of these states. Relocation assistance will be provided. 

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans that expand the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence in the industry.
  • Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets, with a focus on high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify emerging market trends and opportunities for business growth within the region.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry stakeholders, and business partners.
  • Oversee the negotiation of contracts and agreements to maximize profit while ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports, analyzing performance data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, Sales Operations, and product development teams to align sales strategies with market needs and product offerings.
  • Manage sales budgets and expenses, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost management.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, providing coaching and professional development opportunities for the sales team, including third party rep agencies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.
  • Supervisory responsibilities, directly and/or indirectly overseeing employees within assigned departments. 
Qualifications:

  • Strong industry network and understanding of market dynamics.

  • Results-driven, collaborative, and adaptable.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to long-term relationships.
  • Proficient in CRM systems; ERP experience preferred.
