Summary

Provides advanced agronomic expertise and consultative support to commercial teams and growers. Leads field diagnostics, product placement strategies, and field development activities while leveraging innovative solutions to improve grower outcomes and business performance. Serves as a trusted technical advisor who translates agronomic knowledge into practical, customer-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced agronomic support through field diagnostics, product performance evaluations, and product placement recommendations that drive customer success.
  • Lead and support field development programs for emerging products, technologies, and innovative agronomic solutions, including data collection and performance assessment.
  • Analyze agronomic and telemetry data to provide actionable insights and decision-support recommendations for commercial teams and growers.
  • Serve as an agronomic subject matter expert by conducting technical training that strengthens product knowledge, agronomic expertise, and consultative selling capabilities.
  • Partner with commercial teams and growers to identify opportunities, solve agronomic challenges, and support business growth.
  • Manage crop claim investigations, inventory tracking, and record maintenance while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely resolution of issues.

Typical Education

Master's degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, Plant Science, or related field required.

PhD preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant industry experience will be considered.

Relevant Experience

  • 6+ years of progressive agronomic experience following advanced education.
  • Experience providing agronomic recommendations, supporting commercial sales efforts, and delivering customer-facing technical solutions.
  • Experience conducting field trials, product evaluations, and agronomic research preferred.

Other Information

Demonstrated expertise in crop production systems, field diagnostics, and agronomic recommendations. Strong communication, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills required. Ability to effectively engage growers, commercial teams, and cross-functional stakeholders while balancing technical expertise with practical business solutions.
