SUMMARY OF DUTIES

This position is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategies and tactics needed to continue to expand the use of the Embolotherapy portfolio of products by healthcare providers. This includes product lifecycle management, new product introductions, market research, advertising, congresses, professional education, and field sales support.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and lead the Embolotherapy business unit strategy developing the annual marketing plan in collaboration with all other relevant stakeholders.  

  • Ensure execution of the business unit strategy, applying appropriate processes, regular program reviews, definition and follow-up of appropriate dashboards/metrics 

  • Maintain product knowledge and sales information within all product lines 

  • Provide the leadership team regularly with sales metrics and analysis for the business unit: 

  • YTD, QTD, MTD product sales and margin by region 

  • Relevant trends vs prior year budget  

  • Market share changes and corrective actions where required 

  • Lead the go-to-market strategy of new products/solutions managing the cross-functional team and execute pre-launch, launch and post-launch initiatives, ensure results and proper execution in targeted geographies.  

  • Manage and continue to grow Merit Medical’s share of mind and exceptional brand recognition as a result of the leading products and services.  

  • Understand associated diseases today and tomorrow, emerging therapies and technologies, competitive activities, etc. through participation to scientific congresses, market/business intelligence, networking in the field, advisory boards, in particular building a network with physician community and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) 

  • Understand HCP needs through market research and advisory boards. Lead tactics and events to engage and educate these key customer groups. Develop HCPs engagement strategies at professional society meetings and congresses. 

  • Direct the timely delivery of marketing promotional and resource materials to internal stakeholders. 

  • Oversees marketing efforts with the global team associated with new product development.  

  • In collaboration with Med Affairs, lead in region a robust clinical communication plan to support advanced and therapeutic products in market 

  • Ensure that life-cycle management strategies and demand forecasts are in place for full portfolio in collaboration with supply chain  

  • Develop and maintain appropriate resourcing and budget management 

  • Assist the Marketing Sr Director and VP to elevate marketing capabilities in the team 

  • Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.  

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Educational experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field.   

  • Work related experience equivalent to ten years, with at least five of those in marketing or product management in multi country setting. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.  

  • Ability to manage projects efficiently and effectively and to meet deadlines in a timely manner.  

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  

  • Demonstrated computer skills preferably ppt, spreadsheets and other applicable software programs  

  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to prepare professional written and oral presentations and market analysis.  

  • Strong market research skills and the ability to report research findings with high degree of validity and reliability.
