Job description

The Senior Trainer delivers advanced, specialized, and large-scale training programs for operations staff, leadership audiences, business partners, and external stakeholders supporting a Medicaid enterprise system implementation for a healthcare technology client. The role leads training efforts for complex workstreams and system implementations, partners with stakeholders and instructional designers to recommend learning solutions, and interprets evaluation results to drive continuous improvement. The Senior Trainer also serves as an escalation point for trainers assigned to the engagement. This position is performed remotely and supports an assigned eight (8) hour shift within Pacific Time business hours.

Must be eligible to work in the United States. No sponsorships are available at this time.

Essential Duties:

  • Delivers advanced, specialized, and large-scale training programs for internal staff, clients, business partners, leadership audiences, and external stakeholders
  • Facilitates instructor-led, virtual, webinar-based, and blended learning programs using adult learning principles and engagement strategies
  • Leads training efforts for complex projects, organizational transformations, system implementations, and high-priority business initiatives
  • Partners with stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), business analysts, and instructional designers to identify learning needs and recommend training solutions
  • Supports the design of and facilitates customized workshops, learning events, and performance support solutions that address unique business challenges and operational requirements
  • Develops and maintains learning materials including presentations, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, exercises, and supporting resources
  • Contributes to the development, maintenance, and delivery of enterprise and account-level learning curricula, training roadmaps, and annual training plans
  • Conducts training needs analyses to identify skill gaps and recommends effective learning and performance solutions
  • Analyzes and interprets training evaluation results to measure effectiveness, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Collaborates with instructional design and learning technology teams to confirm that learning solutions are engaging, scalable, and aligned with business objectives
  • Manages multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction
  • Recommends enhancements to training programs, delivery methods, tools, and the learner experience in support of continuous improvement
  • Maintains accountability for delivering high-quality learning experiences and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Influences learning strategy, training effectiveness, and workforce performance across the engagement
  • Serves as an escalation point for trainers on content gaps, system issues, and learner concerns
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Advanced facilitation, presentation, and audience engagement skills across virtual and instructor-led environments
  • Experience delivering training for diverse learner populations, including senior leaders, technical professionals, operational teams, and external clients
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training development best practices
  • Experience conducting training needs assessments and evaluating learning effectiveness
  • Strong technical writing, editing, proofreading, and content development skills
  • Strong organization, project management, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing business needs and evolving organizational priorities
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment requiring partnership across business, operations, technology, and learning teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and consultative skills
  • Availability to work an assigned eight (8) hour shift between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Pacific Time, Monday through Friday
  • Ability to work from a secure, distraction-free remote work environment with reliable high-speed internet

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in training, adult learning, education, organizational development, instructional design, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive experience in training delivery, facilitation, adult learning, or learning and development
  • Experience supporting healthcare, government programs, operations, customer service, technology, or related industries, preferred
  • Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Teams, experience required

Employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit, stand, and utilize technology tools such as a laptop computer for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
