Job Description

The UX/UI Designer is a versatile, execution-focused designer responsible for crafting user-centered digital experiences across Brightspeed's public website, eCommerce flow, and customer account management platform. This role requires fluency in both UX and UI disciplines, enabling the designer to move fluidly between discovery, wireframing, and high-fidelity production work within our Figma-based design system. This role uses AI-assisted tools to support research synthesis, design exploration, prototyping, and validation while applying independent design judgment.

IMPACT

Design

  • Translate brand direction and marketing campaign goals into visually engaging, conversion-optimized web experiences.

  • Partner with digital analysts and strategists to run A/B and multivariate tests, interpret results, and iterate on designs.

  • Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate appropriate parts of the product-design process and contribute to prototypes for AI-enabled or conversational customer experiences.

  • Develop and maintain landing pages that support a seamless customer journey across digital media touchpoints.

eCommerce Experience

  • Monitor prospect progression and conversion data alongside product owners and prioritize design improvements accordingly.

  • Advocate for modern eCommerce design standards and incorporate them into the shop-and-buy experience.

Customer Account Management Platform

  • Wireframe new/existing experiences and model intricate user flows to help product owners visualize complex solutions.

  • Produce polished, production-ready UI within the established design system, maintaining meticulous Figma file hygiene.

  • Collaborate with product management and software development teams to assess UX health and prioritize improvements.

Team Contribution

  • Participate actively in weekly design rituals — critiques, brainstorms, and stand-ups — contributing well-reasoned ideas regardless of seniority.

  • Think critically about briefs, anticipate gaps, and present thoroughly considered solutions.

  • Sketch and illustrate concepts on the fly in FigJam or Figma to advance team discussions.

  • Manage workload autonomously within Asana, maintaining accountability across multiple concurrent projects.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in design, UX, eCommerce, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Have practical experience using AI within a professional product-design workflow and can explain at least one example of how it improved the work or outcome.

  • Bring 3+ years of experience in a web design role, with a portfolio that demonstrates both UX thinking and UI craft.

  • Are a power user of Figma, comfortable working within established component libraries and design systems.

  • Have experience making data-backed design decisions and can articulate the rationale behind your choices.

  • Communicate clearly and collaboratively across design, product, engineering, and marketing teams.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires both rapid ideation and meticulous final production quality.

A PLUS IF YOU HAVE

  • Exposure to front-end development (HTML/CSS) or familiarity with developer handoff workflows.

  • Experience with digital analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Full Story or similar).

  • Background in brand, marketing, or eCommerce strategy.

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1).

LANGUAGE SKILLS

English required. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily sedentary, performed indoors from a home or company office while operating a computer and standard office productivity tools. Occasional additional hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
