THE ROLE:
NextGen America is currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented communications professional to join our team as National Press Secretary. Reporting to the Vice President of Communications, the National Press Secretary will manage media strategy, maintain strong reporter relationships, prepare teammates for on-the-record conversations, and work across departments to build and execute a robust communications program nationally and across our targeted states.
This role drives our earned media narrative, crafting talking points, pitching press, media prepping internal leadership and team members, drafting Substack content, and finding creative strategies to uplift student voices and NextGen programming. The ideal candidate has deep on-the-record political experience, a passion for empowering young people, and a belief that Gen Z will transform elections, shape culture, and build new systems.
This is a fully remote position with no location requirement. We encourage candidates from all locations within the United States to apply.

SALARY INFORMATION:
The starting salary range for this position is $90,000 - $95,000. The final base salary will be determined by various factors, including individual qualifications and internal parity, which will be objectively assessed during the interview process.
