What You Will Get To Do:

  • Project Management: Assist with venue sourcing, meeting space selection, accommodations, and event-related inquiries.
  • Manage day-to-day project logistics and execution of events with internal stakeholders.
  • Vendor Management: Review and negotiate contracts to maximize value and efficiency. Collaborate with internal and external vendors on audiovisual, technology, transportation, and other logistical requirements.
  • Event Technology Management: Utilize event technology platforms to support registration, speaker management, scheduling, attendee engagement, and reporting.
  • Risk & Compliance: Maintain event metrics and ensure adherence to SS&C expense management, risk, and compliance policies.
  • Reconcile program invoices and manage post-event financial closeout activities.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Events Marketing and Solutions Marketing teams to develop event strategies that align with overall SS&C Black Diamond Wealth Solutions business objectives and brand positioning.
  • Coordinate and execute client-facing events from conception through completion, including trade shows, conferences, road shows, client meetings, and the annual client conference.
  • Support internal events, including company kickoffs, team meetings, and training programs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and the Senior Events Manager to ensure event objectives, positioning, messaging, deliverables, and tactics are successfully executed before, during, and after each event.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and strategic partners.
  • Research venues, event technology solutions, and industry trends to provide recommendations based on event objectives, audience size, and budget requirements.
  • Measure, evaluate, and report on event performance against business objectives.
  • Provide onsite support at conferences, conventions, workshops, customer events, and other marketing initiatives as needed.
  • Oversee internal project management for event programs, ensuring events are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
  • Travel approximately 20% as required.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing all aspects of event planning from concept development through post-event reporting.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience managing event budgets and negotiating vendor contracts.
  • Experience analyzing event data, metrics, and program results.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within the wealth management, fintech, investment advisory, or financial services industry.
  • Experience with Cvent, Marketo, Salesforce, and Workfront.
