Rank: Assistant Professor, Political Science

The Emory University Department of Political Science is recruiting for a tenure-track assistant professor position in American politics, with an expected start date of August 1, 2027. We welcome applications from scholars with a broad range of substantive foci and methodological approaches to the study of American politics.

Job Description. The Department of Political Science, a leading community of scholars dedicated to excellence in research and teaching, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor with a specialization in American politics. We are interested in scholars whose research is grounded in American politics, theoretically informed, and methodologically rigorous. The position is open with regard to research specialty within American politics. Candidates are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, perform service appropriate to rank, and conduct research. Salary and research support are competitive.

Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Political Science or a related field or be in the final stages of completing their dissertation.
