Job description

Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio is seeking a mission-minded Quality, Risk, and Compliance Specialist to support our organization-wide quality, regulatory compliance, risk management, and accreditation efforts.

Union Status: Non-Union  Position
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

About the Role

The Quality, Risk, and Compliance Specialist helps coordinate the systems, audits, reporting, and administrative processes that support safe, compliant, and high-quality healthcare services. This position works across departments to prepare for accreditation and regulatory reviews, conduct audits, track corrective actions, support quality improvement projects, and maintain required documentation.

The Specialist also provides administrative and systems support for committees, incident reporting, policy management, patient experience, licensing, infection prevention, language access, and other quality, risk, and compliance initiatives.

The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple projects with firm deadlines. This role requires strong follow-through, careful documentation, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively while holding workstreams and stakeholders accountable to established expectations.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate audit schedules, accreditation preparation, regulatory reviews, and other compliance-readiness activities.

  • Conduct assigned quality and compliance audits and compile, analyze, track, and report findings.

  • Document and monitor root cause analyses, corrective action plans, and performance improvement plans, following up with stakeholders on required actions and timelines.

  • Support quality, risk, compliance, clinical quality, patient experience, safety, privacy, infection prevention, language access, and incident-reporting initiatives.

  • Coordinate committee meetings, communications, agendas, minutes, reports, workplans, and project documentation.

  • Prepare reports and summaries and support analysis of quality, compliance, risk, safety, and patient-experience trends.

  • Support the organization’s policy management and quality systems, including user access, report distribution, access reviews, and staff assistance.

  • Complete assigned licensing, insurance, limited English proficiency assessment, translation-coordination, recordkeeping, and standard operating procedure responsibilities.

  • Provide quality, risk, and compliance guidance and training to staff within the scope of the position.

  • Identify and appropriately report potential quality, risk, safety, privacy, equity, patient complaint, adverse event, and near-miss concerns.
