Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Item Setup Specialist to join our Product Content Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, enriching, managing, and maintaining high-quality product content across leading retail, distribution, and eCommerce platforms, including Amazon, Walmart, Staples, Wayfair, D&H, and other customer-specific portals.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent research skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires handling complex product setup activities, ensuring content quality and compliance, and supporting team members through training and knowledge sharing.

This is an evening shift position, with working hours from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM (Pakistan Standard Time). Candidates should be comfortable working during these hours to support global business operations and stakeholder requirements.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire, extract, validate, and manage product content in accordance with established SOPs, business rules, and customer requirements.
  • Research, collect, and enrich product information using manufacturer websites, catalogs, data sheets, and other approved sources.
  • Source, validate, and upload high-resolution product images and digital assets while ensuring compliance with retailer and customer standards.
  • Create and maintain accurate product descriptions, specifications, attributes, feature bullets & benefits and marketing content across multiple platforms.
  • Ensure product content meets the quality, compliance, and formatting requirements of major retailers and marketplaces, including Amazon, Walmart, Staples, Wayfair, D&H, and other customer portals.
  • Perform advanced internet research to identify missing product information and resolve content gaps.
  • Communicate directly with customers, manufacturers, vendors, and business partners via email and phone to obtain required product information.
  • Respond to product-content-related inquiries and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Content, Quality, Operations, and Translation teams, to meet project deadlines and service-level expectations.
  • Manage medium to high-complexity item setup and content enrichment activities with minimal supervision.
  • Monitor assigned workloads and ensure productivity, accuracy, and turnaround-time targets are consistently achieved.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to operational excellence initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to junior colleagues when complex issues arise.
  • Independently resolve content-related challenges while exercising sound judgment on escalation requirements.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent
  • Up to 1 years of experience in Product Content Management, Item Setup, eCommerce Operations, Catalog Management, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of retailer and marketplace content requirements.
  • Excellent internet research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data quality
