Company Description

We are looking for an experienced, technically fluent Business Development Manager to build and grow our presence across the DACH region, with an initial focus on Germany and further expansion into Austria and Switzerland. This is a hunter role for someone who combines genuine curiosity about technology with the drive to open new business opportunities, shape client solutions, and close strategic deals.

You will represent a portfolio of Sigma Software’s high-demand service offerings for the DACH market, including Industrial IoT and connected products, cybersecurity services, technology modernization and cloud transformation (including AI-driven modernization and AWS Transform), data engineering and AI enablement, and AI services. Your target clients will include manufacturing companies, technology businesses, financial institutions, and enterprises undergoing AI adoption and legacy modernization initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who understands how leading technology and consulting companies win business in the DACH market, whether gained at a hyperscaler, a top-tier consultancy, or a professional services firm, and is now looking for the opportunity to take ownership of a region and make a measurable commercial impact.

Job Description

  • Own new business development across DACH
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities in manufacturing, tech, financial services, and enterprise AI/modernisation programmes
  • Manage the full sales cycle from first conversation through negotiation and closing
  • Design and tune niche, value-based offerings for the German market together with practice and delivery teams
  • Lead pre-sales activity with solution architects and technical experts
  • Build and manage local partner relationships with AWS, Databricks, and Microsoft
  • Prepare proposals, commercial offers, and presentations
  • Manage RFI/RFP and bidding processes
  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline in CRM and deliver against revenue targets
  • Represent the company at industry events and client meetings across the region

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in B2B business development, sales, or key account management in IT services, consulting, or enterprise technology
  • Hunter mindset with the ability to create new relationships and open new accounts
  • Understanding of software development, cloud, and AI technologies
  • Experience with value-based and consultative selling of complex services
  • Familiarity with the German enterprise buying culture
  • Native-level German language skills
  • Professional working English
  • Structured and self-directed approach
  • Ability to work autonomously and build a market presence

WILL BE A PLUS

  • Existing network in manufacturing, tech, or financial services
  • Understanding of CRA, NIS2, and EU AI Act
  • Experience working with hyperscalers, consultancies, or professional services firms
