The Role

EPC Power is seeking a Data Analyst Intern to support data analysis, reporting, and documentation efforts across the organization. This part-time, remote internship provides hands-on exposure to real business and operational data and offers an opportunity to learn how analytics supports decision-making in a manufacturing and energy technology environment.

The intern will assist with analyzing data from systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce and Microsoft 365, support dashboard development and QA in Power BI, and help document processes, workflows, and data outputs. This role is ideal for students pursuing careers in data analytics, business analytics, engineering, or information systems who are interested in applying analytical skills in an industrial and energy-focused setting.

  • Assist with gathering, cleaning, and organizing data from systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and Microsoft 365
  • Support the development and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards under the guidance of senior team members
  • Perform basic data analysis to help identify trends, patterns, and operational insights
  • Help document data sources, processes, workflows, and reporting logic to support transparency and repeatability
  • Assist with tracking metrics and KPIs used to monitor business and operational performance
  • Support process improvement and automation initiatives by providing data analysis and documentation
  • Follow established data governance, security, and compliance guidelines

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
  • Foundational experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, JavaScript, HTML, PowerBI, or similar tools is a plus
  • Interest in learning Power BI data modeling and visualization techniques
  • Familiarity with business systems such as ERP or CRM platforms (e.g., NetSuite or Salesforce) is a plus but not required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to clearly communicate findings and documentation to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage tasks in a remote, part-time environment
  • Desire to learn and grow technical and analytical skills in a professional setting
