Job description

Your profile

Are you ready to take your pipeline integrity expertise to a global stage? To shape the software that is redefining how the world’s leading energy companies protect their most critical assets? At Cenosco, we are not just supporting the digital transformation of asset integrity. We are the change!

As a Pipeline Integrity Engineer in our Domain Experts team, you sit where deep pipeline knowledge meets product. You will help decide what we build into our Asset Integrity, Reliability and Functional (AIM) SaaS platform, trusted by industry leaders to manage complex pipeline networks, reduce risk and drive operational excellence. You will work alongside operators to raise how they manage integrity day to day. And you will carry Cenosco’s technical voice into the wider industry.

Join a company where your engineering expertise will directly influence the tools that power safer, smarter and more sustainable operations, worldwide.

Your work is built around three outcomes. You will spend your time across all of them, with the balance shifting as projects and priorities move.

Create high-value product, collaboratively
  • Partner with Product Management and Software Engineering to shape the pipeline integrity roadmap, from problem definition through user stories, acceptance criteria and release validation
  • Translate industry standards & practices such as (and not limited) to API 1160, ASME B31.8S, B31.8 and equivalent regulations into functional requirements a development team can build against
  • Author and review technical specifications, calculation logic and product documentation, then verify that what ships behaves correctly against real pipeline data
  • Bring the operator’s perspective into design reviews, prototypes and usability sessions, so features solve the job as it is actually done
  • Work with the Mechanical Static Integrity, Reliability and Functional Safety disciplines so pipeline capability fits a coherent, plant-wide view of asset integrity
Enhance customer success and integrity maturity
  • Lead business process review workshops that map a customer’s integrity management processes onto the platform, and identify where their practice can step up
  • Guide implementation, configuration and data migration projects alongside Customer Success and Delivery, keeping technical decisions defensible and traceable
  • Provide software tool & business process training and awareness sessions to customer teams with focus on key business threats and priorities. This may include (and not limited to) inspection and ILI planning, anomaly management, Internal & External corrosion assessments (IDCA & EDCA), fitness for service assessments (FFS), degradation management, risk-based assessments and repair decision-making, so they realize value.
  • Address complex technical questions after go-live, and feed recurring patterns back into the product roadmap
  • Help define what good looks like: maturity benchmarks, adoption measures and outcomes a customer is willing to be referenced for
Engage in thought leadership
  • Represent Cenosco at conferences, user groups, standards committees and industry working groups, and bring what you learn there back into the business
  • Publish work that moves the conversation forward: technical articles, white papers, webinars and customer case studies on where pipeline integrity practice is heading
  • Support sales and pre-sales with credible technical storytelling through demonstrations, technical deep-dives and input to proposals
  • Build internal capability by training colleagues across Product, Delivery and Commercial, so domain knowledge scales beyond any one person

What You’ll Need

  • 10+ years of experience in pipeline integrity, preferably with a background in Oil & Gas, Chemicals or Petrochemicals
  • Operator-side knowledge, with first-hand accountability for pipeline integrity decisions
  • Working command of pipeline integrity management practice (not limited to) : threat identification, risk assessment, inspection and ILI planning, ILI data interpretation, and anomaly assessment, fitness for service assessments using methods such as ASME B31G, RSTRENG and API 579
  • Understanding of the degradation mechanisms that drive pipeline risk, together with the mitigation and monitoring that goes with them, including cathodic protection, coatings, chemical treatment and above-ground survey techniques
  • Familiarity with AIM or APM tools and digital integrity solutions, and comfort with data: its quality, its structure and its limits
  • Strong affinity towards AI, ML and other advanced technologies.
  • Some exposure to or curiosity about software and digitalization in engineering processes, and willingness to work in short cycles with product managers and developers
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to hold a room of engineers and a room of executives equally well
  • Comfortably wearing multiple hats in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment

Bonus Points for

  • Masters degree in pipeline engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Chartered or Professional Engineer status with a professional institute.
  • Knowledge of and experience with pipeline standards and certifications, for example ISO, NACE or AMPP.
  • Active participation in a standards body, joint industry project or industry working group.
  • A track record of published papers, conference presentations or webinars
  • Experience implementing or owning pipeline integrity software from the customer side.
  • Experience working with global operators

Why You’ll Love Working with Us
  • Work in a fast-growing and interesting industry
  • Competitive compensation with some nice additional perks
  • Continuous improvement and learning opportunities to grow your career
  • Team activities, not the usual one just to look nice on social media
  • A great team of engaged, passionate and helpful people
