Title: Corporate Strategy Manager
Compensation Range: 100,000- 140,000
About Private Health Management
Private Health Management guides patients and families through the chaos and complexity of serious medical care, for cancer and beyond. As an independent advocate and trusted partner during healthcare’s most challenging moments, our team of experts work alongside physicians to orchestrate the best treatment, advocacy, and support to deliver measurably better outcomes.
Everyone deserves great care. We make sure they get it.
About the Role
The Corporate Strategy Manager will join PHM’s Strategy & Business Operations team as an individual contributor reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer. As the CSO’s first team member dedicated exclusively to corporate strategy, this person will take meaningful ownership of rigorous strategic and analytical work and turn it into clear, decision-ready insights for senior leadership.
Strategy at PHM is highly cross-functional and closely connected to how the business is run. In this role, you will work directly with the CSO and regularly engage the CEO, CFO, SVP of FP&A, Head of Business Ops/Product, and a variety of operating leaders across PHM. You will dig deeply into data, research markets, tackle high-priority strategic questions, and translate complex findings into compelling executive, Board, and investor materials. It is an opportunity to work on consequential business questions, take increasing ownership of strategy workstreams, and help drive decisions from analysis through action.
What You’ll Accomplish
How You’ll Spend Your Days
Drive rigorous analysis and insight. You will conduct business, financial, operational, and performance analysis using Excel, Sigma, and PHM’s data environment. Your work may include gross margin and profitability analysis, unit economics, KPIs and operational insights, utilization and duration analysis, staffing and capacity analysis, market sizing, and growth scenarios. You will build and pressure-test sophisticated models, work through imperfect or messy data, and move beyond reporting what the numbers say to identifying why they matter and what the business should consider doing next.
Turn complexity into executive-ready stories. You will develop high-quality PowerPoint presentations, written briefs, and visual analyses for senior leadership, the Board, and investors. Deliverables may include Board decks and memos, investor materials, and strategic planning materials. You will help shape a logical, concise story from the underlying evidence, clearly articulating the takeaway, implications, tradeoffs, and decisions required.
Develop strategic market perspectives. You will independently conduct and synthesize research on questions such as market sizing, channel opportunities, partnership synergies, and how PHM fits into the competitive landscape. You will use traditional sources as well as AI-enabled research tools to build informed, decision-relevant points of view.
Partner directly with senior leaders. You will work closely with the CSO and regularly engage the CEO, CFO, SVP of FP&A, Head of Business Ops/Product, and a variety of operating leaders across PHM. You will gather inputs, clarify questions, pressure-test assumptions, present work you have owned, and help turn strategic questions into tangible recommendations and outputs.
