Job Description

In this senior engineering position, you will take a strongly hands-on part in shaping and delivering robust software solutions supporting electronic trading and pricing workflows. The role calls for solid technical depth, extensive practical command of modern .NET development, and the confidence to take on intricate platform components. It represents a compelling chance to help build a brand-new greenfield platform in the fixed income electronic trading space, developed on AWS and current .NET technologies, where engineering excellence, reliability and production-ready delivery are central.

What would you be doing?

  • Architect, develop and maintain reliable .NET software components throughout every stage of the delivery lifecycle.
  • Assume direct, hands-on ownership of technically demanding platform components, keeping them resilient, maintainable, scalable and properly documented.
  • Exercise sound engineering judgement across architecture, design, implementation, testing and operational concerns.
  • Collaborate closely with trading, product, architecture, infrastructure and partner technology teams so that delivered solutions match business priorities.
  • Help strengthen engineering standards, including test automation, observability, secure coding, CI/CD and sound release management.

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

  • Expert command of C# and .NET/.NET Core, underpinned by a firm grasp of object-oriented design, SOLID principles and clean architecture.
  • Substantial background designing, developing and supporting ASP.NET Core Web APIs and RESTful services running in production.
  • Advanced knowledge of multi-threading, asynchronous programming, performance optimisation and distributed system design.
  • Demonstrated experience across SQL and NoSQL databases, covering data modelling, performance factors and operational support.
  • Practical exposure to containerisation technologies such as Docker, along with current deployment approaches.
  • Solid track record designing and delivering API-driven service-oriented or microservice architectures.
  • Rigorous approach to automated testing, spanning unit, integration and behaviour-driven testing with tools such as NUnit, Moq and Cucumber.
  • Wide-ranging experience with messaging and event-driven architectures based on technologies like RabbitMQ, TIBCO, SignalR or comparable platforms.
  • Considerable experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery and version control tooling such as Git, TeamCity or equivalent.
  • Real-world experience working within Agile delivery teams and helping refine the software lifecycle.
  • Background supporting live production systems, troubleshooting incidents and enhancing reliability, monitoring and operational readiness.
  • Advanced English (required). Spanish is a plus
