SAS Development Engineer

Location: 100% remote, seeking candidates located in Mexico or Brazil

Contract Length: 1 year

Contract Rate: Rate for this position is expected to fall within a competitive market range. Final rate will be determined based on relevant experience and overall fit for the position.

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced SAS Development Engineer to support the Pricing Analytics and SAS Integration Platform. This role will focus on SAS Viya development, advanced SAS programming, Python API integrations, ETL development, analytics delivery, reporting, and production support while helping enhance enterprise data and analytics capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAS Viya, SAS programming, Python integration, and data pipeline development, along with a strong background supporting large-scale analytics solutions in production environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and enhance applications on the SAS Viya Cloud Platform.
• Develop and support advanced SAS programs and automated ETL processes.
• Build integrations between vendor APIs, enterprise databases, and reporting platforms using SAS and Python.
• Support production analytics capabilities and data pipelines.
• Participate in solution design, release planning, and implementation activities.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and performance issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and support materials.
• Provide technical guidance and code reviews where appropriate.

Required Experience:

• 7+ years of SAS development, analytics, or related experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on SAS programming experience.
• Must have professional working proficiency in English
• Advanced SAS Viya Cloud Platform experience.
• Strong SAS programming and macro development experience.
• Python development experience, particularly API integration.
• ETL and data pipeline development experience.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD.
• Experience delivering analytics solutions, API integrations, and production support.
• Analytics and reporting experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in Financial Services industry

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Preferred certifications include SAS Certified Specialist in Administration of SAS Viya, Programming Fundamentals, Programming Using SAS 9.4, or Advanced Programming Using SAS 9.4

Required Equipment: This role requires the use of a personal laptop. Candidates must be comfortable with company security software and device management tools being installed on their laptop as part of the onboarding process and for the duration of the engagement.
