Job description

Overview:

About the Role & Team

IDC (International Data Corporation) is a leading provider of global technology intelligence and AI solutions. Our Global Corporate Marketing team is looking for a Corporate Communications Manager to join us on a 4–5 month contract, covering a parental leave.

This role will manage strategy and execution of IDC's internal employee communications programs, with opportunities to also support sales and customer communications programs tied to IDC product launch and transformation initiatives. You'll onboard directly alongside the employee going on leave, giving you runway to learn the programs, relationships, tools, and cadence before taking the reins.

This is a great fit for an experienced communications professional who can step into an established program quickly, keep it running smoothly, and bring good judgment to a fast-moving, global organization.

What You’ll Do

Internal Employee Communications

  • Plan and run internal webinars and company-wide Town Halls, including scheduling, event production, content coordination, speaker prep, logistics, and post-event reporting and communications
  • Own the production of employee newsletters, from content curation through send
  • Draft, edit, and distribute email communications to employees on company news, policy updates, organizational announcements, and other functional topics as needed
  • Manage core IDC intranet content by publishing updates, keeping pages current, and serving as a liaison for owners of other intranet function-specific pages
  • Provide consultative communications guidance for functional teams on effective communications strategies and tactics to support initiative goals
  • Maintain the corporate communications project tracker and reporting processes

Sales & Customer Communications Support

  • Provide occasional communications support for product launches and transformation initiatives

Transition & Continuity

  • Onboard alongside the employee you’ll be standing in for to learn existing programs, editorial calendars, tools, and stakeholder relationships
  • Maintain continuity of voice, format, and cadence across all existing communications programs during the coverage period
  • Document processes and handoff notes to support a smooth return transition at the end of the contract

What You Bring

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in corporate, internal, or employee communications
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone across employee, sales, and customer audiences
  • Experience running internal virtual events such as Town Halls or webinars in Microsoft Teams
  • Proven reporting and analytics experience
  • Comfortable managing multiple ongoing programs and deadlines independently
  • Strong project management skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience with intranet platforms and email/newsletter tools
  • Able to start and ramp quickly
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, global organization with shifting priorities
