Job description

 

Do you have underwriter Surety experience in Judicial and contractual bonds? Do you have a good relationship with brokers and clients? Then you might be the right person for our Underwriter Corporate Solutions Team!

About the Role

Key tasks: 

  • Collecting and analyzing of general economic and sector specific research;
    Initiating, leading and conducting the deal underwriting process in close cooperation with origination and market underwriting teams;
  • Approving transactions within own underwriting authority or prepare transaction referrals when capacity required beyond own underwriting authority;
  • Presenting transactions internally, engaging with risk management and defending own positions with energy, taking into consideration client needs and Swiss Re's risk appetite;
  • Assist the underwriting lead in internal and external discussions;
  • Assisting the Underwriting Manager in market screening and the definition of appropriate policies and underwriting guidance.

About the Team

Surety team is located in São Paulo and comprises the responsibilities of underwriter and digital product management. The position will be to compose the  Surety for Judicial and contractual bonds, becoming part of a group that works together for the constant development of knowledge, enabling e leadership position in market solutions.

About You

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in analysis of infrastructure and real estate projects, preferably in a Surety Insurer in Brazil;
  • University graduate in Law, administration, accounting, engineering; Entry level will be considered;
  • Hard working individual, willing to go extra mile;
  • Comfortable working remotely but also a strong team player;
  • Curiosity and open-mindedness, ability to create alternative solutions;
  • Strong dedication to meeting immediate objectives and achieving long term goals;
  • Mature and self-confident personality with ability also to face clients, business partners and senior colleagues;
  • Prepared and willing to fill the described role with perspective to grow in accordance with personal development and successes of the division;

Nice to have

  • Command of the English language.
  • Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Office
