Position: Bilingual Hindi STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety
Type: Contract
Compensation: $23–$27/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Write expert-level prompts in Hindi across specialized scientific topics.
• Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content.
• Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
• Work independently and asynchronously to ensure the safety of AI models in handling technical topics.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to improve model performance and safety.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field.
• Native or near-native fluency in Hindi and business-level written English.
• Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques in your subfield.
• Sound judgment around scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.

Preferred

• Based in India or the wider South Asia region.
• Expertise in radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, or related fields.
• Demonstrated depth in a specific subfield like organic synthesis, molecular biology, or genetics.
• Experience in reviewing, grading, or red-teaming technical content.
