Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance on medical equipment with a hospital or healthcare system to ensure optimal delivery of healthcare services to patients
Perform troubleshooting and basic service repairs on customer equipment
Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installations and more complex repairs
Proactively engage with other team members to ensure appropriate solution for the customer
Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication, resolution and proper follow up to drive customer satisfaction
Adhere to company policies, procedures and hospital protocols to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met; ensuring documentation of all work performed is captured daily, including debriefing and ordering parts.
Partner with the customer and/or the sales team to recommend value-added services that will help the customer run their business more efficiently
Utilize the GEHC escalation process, as needed, and work closely with region and national support to define and implement corrective action plans to resolve customer issues
Associates degree; OR equivalent military education; OR participant in the formal GE Healthcare Biomedical or Field Engineer Services Internship, Apprenticeship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum 2 years of experience servicing electronic, electrical, IT/networking or mechanical equipment.
Valid Driver’s License and ability to maintain license.
Ability to be available after-hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends for critical issues and coverage as necessary.
Up to 25% overnight travel required. Dependent on geographical location or the need of the business.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch and squat, kneel and crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time.
Must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex and extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity.
This role may require specific vision abilities that may include color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Technical capabilities in PCS and/or general medical equipment.
Networking certifications.
